Zhang Meng: associate professor, PhD of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, China University of Geosciences, director of Hubei Association for Mechatronics Technology and Applications, and director of Hubei Society of Mechanical Design and TransmissionHe received the bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in engineering from Wuhan University of Technology in 1989 and 1992 respectively, and the doctor’s degree in engineering from China University of Geosciences in 2010. Before 2002, he worked in Huazhong Research Institute of Electro-optical Technology, CSSC, engaged in the development of scientific research technology for military and civilian products; after 2000, he has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in China University of Geosciences, published more than 20 scientific research papers, edited and published 3 textbooks, won more than 10 national patents and software copyrights, developed over 20 postgraduate students, instructed the students to win 2 first prizes and 8 second prizes in various provincial competitions, and awarded with the most popular teacher of CUG in 2015. He has participated in one National 863 Program and two national geological survey program as the main technical principal (second) and has presided over and participated many other enterprise sponsored scientific programs.
