Research Fields and Main Achievements

He is mainly engaged in the research on innovative design of robots and high-end equipment mechanism, with research interests including robotics, structural design of high-end mechanical equipment and intelligent design software. He has presided over one Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), one Industry-University Cooperation Collaborative Education Program of the Ministry of Education, undertaken two NSFC general programs and one German ZIM program as a major participant, and has received the scientific research rewards such as National Scholarship for Doctoral Students, Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation at the University-Level, and the Innovation Fund for Outstanding Doctoral Students. She has published a Springer monograph in English, published more than 20 SCI papers in the top international journals of robotics and mechanism, such as Mechanism and Machine Theory, ASME Journal of Mechanical Design and ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, and applied for more than 10 invention patents. He serves as a reviewer for 7 international journals, such as Mechanism and Machine Theory and ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, and has been recognized as an outstanding reviewer for Mechanism and Machine Theory for three consecutive years.

He has supervised or assisted in the supervision of more than 20 master and doctoral students, with rich experience in supervising graduate students; he is good at teaching students according to individual needs, and gets along well with students. The research group maintains long-term cooperation with multiple universities and high-tech enterprises in China, and maintains academic exchanges with universities such as University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany and York University in Canada.
