Jiang Shulan, born in 1988, native of Linshui, Sichuan Province, is a professor, master/doctoral supervisor, a CUG Scholar Top Young Talent and a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology. She received the Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Southwest University in 2011 and the PhD in Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015. She worked at Southwest Jiaotong University from 2015 to 2020, did her postdoctoral research at Columbia University, an Ivy League university in the United States, from 2018 to 2019, and was transferred to the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2020. In recent years, she has presided over one general program and one youth program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has presided over many other provincial and ministerial research programs, as well as programs sponsored by enterprise and national defense program sponsored by enterprises and institutes. She has published more than 40 SCI papers in journals such as Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Power Sources, Science Advances and Nanoscale, including 20 SCI papers published as the first author or corresponding author, and the research results have been cited more than 1000 times by Google Scholar. In addition, she has been granted 7 invention patents. She serves as the reviewer of journals such as Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering and the dissertation reviewer of the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education.

Research fields:

Advanced structural design and additive manufacturing: Use new intelligent manufacturing methods such as intelligent 3D printing to develop new actuators and flexible electronic devices for medical devices and wearable equipment; research on structural lightweight design and enhanced toughening techniques to address the shortcomings of interface failure and service performance in structures such as aerospace equipment, automobiles and marine equipment.

Intelligent detection and tomography imaging: Research on intelligent sensing and instruments for industrial processes, multimodal process tomography imaging and multiphase flow process test modeling in response to the structural damage and visualization application requirements of aerospace equipment

Equipment optimization and intelligent control: Research and development of high-end audio frequency vibration dispersion equipment and its stability intelligent control to address the dispersion and agglomeration in the manufacturing of energetic materials in aerospace and the stability of existing equipment.

Admission Information:

Master’s and doctoral students who are interested in advanced structural design and additive manufacturing, intelligent detection and tomography imaging, and equipment optimization and intelligent control, and have good professional foundation and practical hands-on ability are welcome to join our research group. The group will provide good research conditions and one-on-one guidance, support their participation in domestic and international academic conferences, recommend double first-class 985 institutions to study for doctoral degree, and recommend studying abroad for doctoral degree or joint training.
