Wen Guojun, male, born in April 1978, professor, doctoral supervisor, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Academic Board of CUG, member of the First Committee of Robot Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, director of Hubei Advanced Drilling and Digging Machinery and Equipment Pilot Base, deputy director of Hubei Intelligent Geological Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center, deputy director of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Geotechnical Drilling and Protection, and the editorial board member of Bulletin of Geological Science and Technology, Coal Geology & Exploration, Drilling Engineering and other journals. He is the leader of the teaching team for “Engineering Machinery Design and Automation” in Hubei Province, the leader of the outstanding young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation team for “Digital Intelligence of Engineering Machinery Equipment” in Hubei Province, and the recipient of the Outstanding Youth Fund of Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province. He has been selected into Wuhan Youth Science and Technology Plan, “CUG Scholar – Discipline Leading Talents”, “CUG Scholar - Top Young Talents”, “Cradle Program” and “Take-off program” of CUG, and the Tenth “Ten Outstanding Young Persons”, and offers such courses as “Mechanical CAD/CAM” and “Engineering Mechanical Design”. He is mainly devoted to the research on fundamentals and application of virtual reality, computer-aided design, machine vision, artificial intelligence, computer simulation, robot, software development and other related theories and new technologies in industrial digital intelligence transformation, intelligent directional drilling, trenchless underground pipeline construction, geological disasters and environmental monitoring. He has presided over 5 programs supported by NSFC projects (3 general programs, 1 key fund project and 1 youth fund program), 1 project supported by Hubei Provincial Key R&D Program, 2 subprojects of national key R&D program, 1 program supported by Outstanding Youth Program of the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, 1 program supported by Scientific Research Starting Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, Ministry of Education, 2 programs supported by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (1 special grant and 1 general program), projects supported by Wuhan Youth Science and Technology Plan, the “Take-off Program” and “Cradle Program” of CUG, as well as a number of enterprise-funded projects. He has published more than 40 SCI/EI papers, obtained more than 20 authorized invention patents and more than 20 registered software copyrights. As the first author, he won the second prize of Hubei Science and Technology Progress Award (2019), the second prize of the Seventh Teaching Achievement Award of Hubei Province (2012), the Fourth Excellent Postdoctoral Award of Hubei Province (2020), the Silver Hammer Award of the 16th Science and Technology Award for Young Geologists (2017), and the excellent thesis award of AAPG International Forum for Youth on Geological Theory and Technology Innovation (2015).
