Jie Yang, born in 1968, native of Wuhan, Hubei, Ph. D, professor, master supervisor, core member of the innovation team of Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, has successively obtained the bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He has been teaching in China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) since 2002, was employed as an associate professor in 2004 and promoted to Professor in 2013. From 2006 to 2014, he served as the deputy director of Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, CUG (Wuhan); from 2014 to 2018, he served as the director in mechanical engineering teaching and experiment center; from 2010 to 2011, he was a visiting associate research fellow at the University of California, Merced.
Director of Hubei Mechanical Design and Transmission Institute, director of Hubei Metalworking Institute, member of China Mechanical Engineering Society, national 863 peer review expert, and the reviewer of Energy, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and other international journals.
He has presided over and undertaken National 863 program, programs supported by natural science foundation and provincial and ministry-level programs, and has made a series of achievements in solid oxide fuel cell system and sustainable manufacturing. He has published a number of high-quality papers in Journal of Power Source, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, China Mechanical Engineering and other domestic and overseas authoritative journals, including 20 SCI authoritative journal papers, and has obtained 15 authorized patents for inventions and 1 teaching achievement award in Hubei Province.
