Vice-chairman of Metalworking Teaching Committee of Hubei Association of Higher Education, director of Hubei Mechanical Engineering Society, executive director of Hubei Mechanical Design and Transmission Society. He is mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research of mechanical engineering, and teaches “Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering” for postgraduate students and “Theory of Machines and Mechanisms”, “An Introduction to Mechanical Engineering”, “Microcontroller Principle and Interface Technology”, “Metal Materials and Heat Treatment” and other course for undergraduate students. He has published more than 10 teaching research papers, is the person in charge of “Metal Materials and Heat Treatment” (the excellent course of Hubei Province), and has won one first prize and one second prize for teaching achievements of colleges and universities in Hubei Province. Under his guidance, the students have won 2 Excellent Master Theses of Hubei Province, 10 Excellent Bachelor Theses of Hubei Province and 1 National Third Prize in Challenge Cup. His main research interests are high-temperature and ultra-high pressure experimental equipment and instruments, electromechanical integration, geological engineering equipment and instruments in extreme environment. He has successively presided over and participated in more than 30 scientific research programs, published more than 50 scientific research papers, won more than 30 national patents and software copyrights, won one second prize for progress in science and technology of Hubei Province, and one third prize for excellent natural science papers in Hubei Province.
