The School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) has 127 full-time faculty members, among which there are 28 doctoral supervisors, 30 professors, 51 associate professors, 2 winners of national talent program, and 7 winners of Hubei talent programs. There are currently 2628 students in total. The School has four majors, namely Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Electronic Information Engineering, Communication Engineering and Industrial Design. Among them, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation and Electronic Information Engineering are national “Double Ten-Thousand Plan” construction majors, and Communication Engineering is a provincial “Double Ten-Thousand Plan” construction major. This School now has one Ph. D. program in the second-level discipline of geological equipment engineering, three master’s programs in the first-level disciplines (mechanical engineering, information and communication engineering, and design), 7 teaching and research platforms at province-level and ministry-level, 5 industrial technology innovation centers and 10 joint training bases for graduate students. In the past five years, students from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information have participated in various subject competitions and achieved excellent results in major professional competitions such as the “Challenge Cup” for College Students, the National Undergraduate Mechanical Innovational Competition, Petroleum Equipment Innovation Design Competition, National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest, and Robot Contest, etc. The promotion rate has reached 40% and the employment rate has reached 95%. The research directions cover mechanics and mechanical system dynamics, advanced mechanical design methods, geological engineering equipment and its automation, optical mechatronics technology, signal and image processing, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, intelligent instrumentation, intelligent control, intelligent manufacturing, industrial vision, product design, etc. The School has performed excellently in the transformation of scientific research achievements, patent applications and social services, and has been authorized more than 100 national invention patents. The program of the 11th campus open day for 2025 postgraduate admissions of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information is hereby notified as follows:
I. Objects and Qualification
Applicants should be outstanding undergraduate graduates in 2026, who are expected to be eligible for exemption from examination upon recommendation.
II. Time and Schedule
1. Registration: From June 6 to June 20, students applying for the program can fill out their applications through the CUG “Campus Open Day Registration System for Postgraduate Admission” (failure to fill out the “Application School” information will be considered as an unsuccessful application). Students should put the following documents into one PDF file and send it to 1691051728@qq.com before June 26, and the package file should be named as “name - name of undergraduate school - name of applied major”.
①The application form of 2025 Campus Open Day for Postgraduate Admissions of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) (derived from the registration system);
②Scanned copy of ID card and student card;
③Undergraduate transcripts and major ranking information (copies must be stamped with the official seal of the academic affairs office or the school or department);
④Scanned copy of CET-4 and CET-6 report card (or other English level certificates);
⑤Other supporting materials (such as published papers, award certificates, expert recommendation letter, etc.).
2. After reviewing the materials submitted by students, the admissions office will notify eligible students via email before June 26th to attend the event.
