Program Introduction
In 2025, the undergraduate education program on Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation jointly organized by China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany, was successfully approved by the Ministry of Education and begins enrolling students. The Sino-German Joint College practices interdisciplinary innovation, realizes advantageous resource sharing and complementation, focuses on practice-oriented teaching and applied research and achievement transformation, and aims to cultivate compound applied talents who can serve the future technological industry and have an international vision and the ability to participate in international affairs.
University Profile
China University of Geosciences (CUG) is a national key university affiliated with the Ministry of Education. It is also listed in the National “211 Project” and the “Double First-class Plan”. CUG has two campuses: Nanwang Mountain Campus and Future City Campus, both located in the hinterland of Wuhan East Lake National Innovation Demonstration Zone and Optics Valley Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. CUG, featuring geosciences, is a comprehensive university that also offers a variety of degree programs in science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, education and arts. Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is a public university of applied sciences in Germany, focusing on mechanical engineering and cultivating international practical talents. It is the most influential public university of applied sciences in Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany, and one of the first German universities certified by China’s Ministry of Education. The University, with a history of 140 years, has trained a large number of industry elites with practice-oriented and school-enterprise cooperation at its core, and its majors such as mechanical engineering, architectural design and biomedical science are renowned in Europe. Enrollment major: Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation (Sino-foreign Cooperation)
Enrollment scale: 60 people
Optional subject requirements: Physics + Chemistry
Tuition: The tuition fee for China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) is approximately RMB 72,000/person/ year. The specific standards for tuition and living expenses abroad will be implemented in accordance with the relevant management measures of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany
Note: Students admitted to the Mechanical Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program cannot transfer out of the program after enrollment.
Training Mode
The program adopts a joint training mode, and both sides work together to formulate a professional teaching plan.
Students of the program will study full-time for three years in China, complete all the courses offered and taught by both universities in China, and those who meet the requirements will go to Anhalt University of Applied Sciences for one year of full-time study. Qualified graduates will receive an undergraduate diploma and a bachelor's degree from the Chinese side, and graduates who fulfill the graduation requirements of the German side will receive a bachelor's degree from the German side.
