On July 31st, Wu Di, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), along with counselors Luo Caiwei and Shi Zhantian, made a special trip to Ningbo Haitian Group for a visit and exchange, and also paid a visit and extended their regards to the students from the school who were interning at the group. Zhang Chengfei, Recruitment Director of Haitian Group, along with recruitment managers Ying Xinchao and Wang Jiayi, warmly welcomed the delegation. Tan Guang'an, a new employee of Haitian Group and a 2025 graduate from the school, also participated in the event.
Accompanied by Ying Xinchao, Wu Di and her delegation first toured the Haitian Digital Experience Center, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Haitian's development journey, brand story, industrial distribution, future plans, corporate culture and sustainable development strategy.
At the symposium, Zhang Chengfei expressed gratitude to the school for providing the group with high-quality talents. He introduced the overall situation of the group and its talent cultivation system, and reported on the development of school graduates and the recruitment plan for this year. He pointed out that, along with the strategic transformation of the group, Haitian has launched key initiatives such as the "Management Trainee Program" and the "Kunpeng Plan" to deepen cooperation with high-level universities to attract young talents. He expressed his expectation for deepening school-enterprise collaboration, accurately aligning school training systems with the actual needs of enterprises, and further smoothing the talent recruitment and career development channels.
On behalf of the school, Wu Di expressed gratitude to Haitian Group for providing a high-quality internship and employment platform. She highlighted the distinctive qualities of the students, namely, solid theoretical foundation, outstanding performance in academic competitions, a tenacious work ethic, and strong practical drive. These traits have been fully demonstrated in manufacturing practice. She stated that graduates from the school generally expressed satisfaction with Haitian Group's work environment and living conditions, demonstrating a positive attitude after joining the company. The school is willing to deepen cooperation and guide more outstanding graduates to work at Haitian Group.
Subsequently, guided by Zhao Yiyuan, the corporate internship advisor, leaders from both the school and the enterprise conducted an in-depth field visit to the assembly workshop, observing the manufacturing process up close.
Finally, Wu Di and other teachers made a special visit to extend their regards to the students on internship duty. The university and enterprise representatives held a cordial discussion with the interns, inquiring in detail about their internship positions, job responsibilities, adaptation to enterprise life, and practical gains. The intern shared insights from their practical experience, noting that the Group's standardized management system, comprehensive mentor-apprentice program, and rich corporate culture significantly enhanced their professional skills and career competence. The group leaders attached great importance to the questions and suggestions raised by the interns, responded to them one by one, and expressed their gratitude. The school teachers reminded the students to pay attention to safety, and encouraged them to cherish the internship platform, deepen the integration of theory and practice, and engage in thoughtful reflection and frequent communication, so as to lay a solid foundation for future career development.
The visit achieved remarkable results. The school gained a deep understanding of the current situation and needs of intern students, and at the same time, deepened its cognition of the talent needs of leading manufacturing enterprises. This provided an important basis for optimizing talent training programs and improving the quality of employment services, and broadened the cooperation space between both parties in areas such as collaborative education and resource sharing.
In the future, the school will focus on student development, continue to deepen cooperation with outstanding enterprises such as Haitian, jointly explore innovative models for industry-education integration, and strive to cultivate high-quality talents who meet national strategies and industry needs.
