The School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, in Collaboration with Multiple Other Schools, Visited Enterprises to Expand Job Opportunities | Discussing Cooperation with Wuhan Haier to Promote Employment

To further broaden employment channels, deepen university-enterprise collaboration, and promote high-quality employment for graduates, on the afternoon of July 29, a team consisting of 13 members, including Bai Zhenyang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Materials Science and Chemistry, CUG, Wu Di, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Du Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Automation, Li Jiliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management, Chen Hanying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Gemmological Institute, Gong Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Public Administration, and counselors from the schools, visited Wuhan Haier Electric Appliances Co., Ltd. to conduct a specialized enterprise outreach and job expansion activity. Deputy General Manager Jiang Shan, Human Resources Director Duan Meng, as well as Recruitment Managers Song Limin and Li Keda from Haier Smart Home Wuhan Park and Zhengzhou Park, warmly received and participated in the event.

First, there was a school-enterprise symposium, which was chaired by Li Keda. He introduced the development overview of Haier Group and Haier Smart Home, elaborating on the company's concepts and initiatives in talent cultivation, as well as its achievements and plans in the field of industry-university-research cooperation. He highlighted Haier Group's integrated talent cultivation model, which encompasses customized training during the initial talent introduction phase, a multi-channel promotion mechanism throughout the career development process, and incentive policies that encourage employees to participate in scientific research and innovation. This comprehensive presentation showcases how the company builds a high-quality platform for talent growth.


Each school presented an overview of its academic programs, distinctive approaches to talent development, graduate scale, and career pathways for graduates. In alignment with industry development trends and their own educational orientations, each school highlighted their strengths in connecting with advanced manufacturing and modern services, and also shared specific achievements in enhancing graduate employment quality and advancing university-enterprise collaboration projects in recent years. We hope that through this exchange, we can establish in-depth cooperation with Wuhan Haier in areas such as talent cultivation and resource sharing, injecting new momentum into both student development and corporate growth.

Based on his recruitment practices, Song Limin elaborated on the enterprise talent introduction standards and training system. He emphasized that enterprises not only focus on the professional knowledge level of graduates, but also value their ability to solve practical problems, teamwork spirit, and potential for continuous learning.

Jiangshan then provided an additional introduction to the talent demand situation of Wuhan Haier Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., based on the current development status of the enterprise, including job requirements and development opportunities for various positions such as research and development, production, marketing, and management. He mentioned that as enterprises continue to deepen their involvement in the smart home appliance sector, the demand for versatile professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge and strong practical skills has become increasingly urgent. He expressed hope to establish a long-term, stable partnership with the university to recruit more outstanding graduates.

Following the interview, Jiang Shan led the group on a tour of the air conditioning production line to gain a firsthand understanding of the operations of the intelligent air conditioning production line and to closely experience the production technology and management model of the enterprise.

This special event aimed at visiting enterprises and expanding job opportunities has strengthened the communication and connection between the school and enterprises, and has built a good platform for further cooperation between the two parties in multiple levels, forms, and fields. It is of great significance for realizing the organic combination and optimal allocation of school and enterprise resources, jointly cultivating high-quality talents who can meet the needs of social development, and will also effectively promote fuller and higher-quality employment for school graduates.
