On April 8, Dean Ning Fulong, Deputy Dean Wen Guojun and Zhang Jing went to China University of Petroleum (East China) to conduct in-depth survey and exchanges with the College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and the School of Petroleum Engineering, injecting new vitality into the development of the cooperation between the two sides in the field of energy.
In the morning, Dean Ning Fulong and his delegation visited the College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, China University of Petroleum. Cai Baoping, dean of the College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Li Hailin, secretary of the Party Committee, Li Fulai, deputy director of the Science and Technology Department, Shi Yongjun, Xu Changhang, Yin Xiaokang and Liu Wei, deputy deans of the College and department heads warmly received the visitors and participated in the symposium. At the symposium, Cai Baoping and Li Hailin warmly welcomed the visitors. Deputy Dean Wen Guojun provided a detailed introduction to the history, disciplines, faculty, student scale, research platform and team building of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), comprehensively showcasing the development style of the School. Deputy Dean Yin Xiaokang also shared on the current development status of the college, including disciplinary construction, professional settings, international exchange and cooperation, to enhance mutual understanding.
The two sides had in-depth exchanges on core issues such as discipline and platform construction, talent cultivation and internal management. Both sides expressed their views and shared their experiences and ideas in key areas such as doctoral program discipline construction, scientific research platform construction, improvement of postgraduate training quality, undergraduate management, etc. They also discussed specific matters such as laboratory construction and management, construction of engineering training centers, and cooperative education, which provided a lot of feasible directions for the follow-up cooperation.
After the symposium, Ning Fulong and his party visited the Petroleum Industry Training Center of China University of Petroleum. The complete facilities and scientific teaching system of the training center left a deep impression on everyone, and the two sides exchanged ideas on practical teaching resource sharing, teaching mode innovation and other aspects to further explore the potential for cooperation.
In the afternoon, Ning Fulong and his delegation visited the School of Petroleum Engineering. Hou Jian, dean of the School of Petroleum Engineering, deputy dean Yang Yongfei, deputy dean Li Zhaoai, and some department and institute heads participated in the symposium. Dean Hou Jian welcomed the visitors, briefly introduced the basic situation of the School, and hoped to deepen cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research and discipline construction, to realize resource sharing, mutual benefit and win-win. Dean Ning Fulong expressed gratitude and introduced the situation and research focus of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of CUG. He highly affirmed the remarkable achievements of the School of Petroleum Engineering in discipline construction, talent cultivation and scientific research, and hoped to expand cooperation areas and work together for progress.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on departmental reform, talent cultivation, faculty and high-end platform construction, scientific research and international cooperation and exchange.
