In order to expand students’ international academic horizons, on the evening of March 24th, the School invited Professor Wang Yong from the School of System Science and Industrial Engineering of Binghamton University to hold a special lecture on graduate programs in Room 301 of No. 2 Teaching Building, which attracted more than one hundred undergraduate and graduate students from majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Information, and Communication.

Binghamton University, as a well-known public research university in the United States, is known as the “Public Ivy” and is internationally renowned for its research in systems engineering and intelligent manufacturing. During the presentation, Professor Wang Yong provided a detailed introduction to the training mode, interdisciplinary characteristics, and industrial cooperation laboratory resources of the master's/doctoral programs at the university. He focused on analyzing the full chain training mechanism of “research ability enhancement - scholarship application - career development support” and vividly demonstrated the employment competitiveness of the program through successful cases of previous Chinese students.

In response to students’ concerns about the suitability of inter-professional applications and professional employment directions, Prof. Wang Yong put forward targeted suggestions in light of the latest enrollment policies of the university. Our international exchange officer introduced the current situation of international academic cooperation in the School and clarified that we will provide all-round support for prospective students.

In recent years, the School has continued to expand the academic cooperation network with global universities and promote international talent cultivation through professor lectures, alumni experience sharing and policy interpretation. In the future, we will further implement overseas scientific research and training, international conference funding and joint education, so as to improve the global talent training system. (Reported by Zhang Jing, reviewed by Qu Xianghua)
