(Reported by Adili and Du Yu) On the occasion of LiuGong Group’s 1st Culture Festival from December 24 to 26, Du Yu, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School, and Adili, a counselor of the School, led the representatives of student party members, backbone of the Youth League, and members of the dance team of the School to Changzhou, Jiangsu Province to carry out paired exchanges, research and study practice with Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of LiuGong Group, so as to deeply appreciate the mission and responsibility of equipment manufacturing enterprises under the leadership of the Party to serve the construction of a strong country.
Experiencing cutting-edge technology at the enterprise. On the morning of December 25, representatives of teacher and student Party members from the School, along with employees from Shanghai Jintai, visited the 15th anniversary achievement exhibition of the Changzhou base of LiuGong Group. At the exhibition, teachers and students experienced the technological charm of various types of large-scale construction machinery and equipment up close, and deeply understood the key role of high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement in promoting the great changes of the new era. In the production workshop, teachers and students witnessed the transformation process of engineering machinery equipment from raw materials to finished products, and praised the strong strength of China's machinery manufacturing industry. Zhang Xia, a student Party member, said, “I was greatly shocked by the intelligence and integration of the advanced production line of the enterprise, which also further strengthened our confidence and determination to serve the country with science and technology”.
Performing on the same stage and learning from the spirit of craftsmanship. In order to present a wonderful program at LiuGong Group’s Corporate Culture Festival, the dance team of the School was invited to perform on stage with corporate employee representatives. During the rehearsal process, the students of the dance team overcame the difficulties of tight schedules and heavy tasks, and diligently rehearsed in their spare time. As the performance approached, significant adjustments were made to the performance formation due to changes in the stage venue. With time running out, the students, along with the corporate staff, quickly got to work rehearsing the new formation. On the evening of December 25, after repeated adjustments and rehearsals, the program was successfully performed at the cultural festival party. “From rehearsal to performance, the meticulous polishing of every aspect and the repetition of every detail made us deeply feel the enterprise's craftsmanship spirit of innovation and excellence on stage,” said Xu Lu, the captain of the dance team, after the performance.
Red study to firm ideals and beliefs. On the morning of December 26, teachers and students visited the Qu Qiubai Memorial Hall to remember the early main leaders of the CPC. Qu Qiubai devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause, standing on the side of the Party and the people without hesitation at critical moments of the revolution, and sacrificed his life for the revolutionary cause. Teachers and students learned about Qu Qiubai’s political stance of loyalty to the Party, his clean and pure noble personality, his heroic deeds of fearlessness of sacrifice and his sense of responsibility through precious historical photos and physical exhibits. Chen Baiyan, secretary of the 07J242 Youth League Branch, said, “Comrade Qu Qiubai’s immortal contributions to the Chinese revolution are always worth remembering. We must inherit the precious spiritual wealth of the martyrs, study hard and shoulder responsibilities, and contribute our youthful strength to the great cause of national rejuvenation.”
It is reported that the School has established a good school-enterprise cooperation mechanism with Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. In addition to jointly conducting regular scientific research and talent cultivation, the two sides have also actively explored and practiced cooperation in Party and League building and cultural exchanges. In July 2021, the School was invited to form a student team to perform together with the staff of the enterprise to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC in Liugong Group, and achieved good results.
