To comprehensively enhance students' comprehensive quality, strengthen their awareness of labor, and improve their labor skills, while promoting the spirit of "respecting labor, loving labor, diligent labor, and honest labor," the School of Mechanical and Electronic Information Engineering has formulated the "Labor Month" activity plan for all undergraduate and graduate students in accordance with the requirements of the school's "Comprehensive Strengthening of Labor Education in the New Era Implementation Plan." This activity, themed "Promoting the Spirit of Labor to Create a Civilized Campus," includes five series of activities: "Promoting the Glory of Labor" to cultivate ideological guidance, "Cultivating Diligence for Self-Improvement" to foster labor habits, "Service and Dedication" for voluntary labor practice, "Innovation and Creation" to apply learning to practical situations, and "Understanding Labor" to share experiences and insights. Each student organization actively carries out theoretical and practical activities according to their actual situation.

Through various forms such as themed class meetings and party activities, students learn theoretical knowledge to understand the essence and significance of labor, and establish a correct view of labor. By studying the deeds of model workers in the new era, students pay tribute to those who are striving on the front lines of the socialist cause.

Labor starts with me, starting from small things. Starting from daily life, organizing students to clean dormitories, tidy up laboratories, create clean and tidy learning environments, cultivate healthy living habits, and form a good spiritual outlook.

Leveraging the college volunteer service team and platform, organizing students to actively participate in community service, campus cleaning, and other voluntary activities, allowing students to experience the significance of cherishing the fruits of labor through firsthand participation.

The college integrates research-oriented education with labor-oriented education, taking the opportunity of the Second Science and Culture Festival and the Twentieth Robot Competition. It provides a platform for young students to combine personal interests and research directions, transforming their ideas into practical achievements through manual labor.

Through the theoretical learning and practical activities of the "Labor Month," students have gained profound insights and actively expressed their personal understanding of labor and its value, as well as elaborated on the progress and growth they have achieved through labor.

Yang Yaqi, a undergraduate student from the Class of 2023, expressed: "During the themed group activities of labor education, I deeply comprehend the value and significance of labor. In my future academic life, I will cherish every opportunity for labor, enhance my sense of social responsibility, improve my ability to solve practical problems and adapt to society, and strengthen my awareness of realizing my own value through labor dedication."

The gentle breeze of May brings warmth and comfort. Through the "Labor Month" activities, students have embraced the concept that "labor is honorable, noble, great, and beautiful," while also achieving the goal of promoting comprehensive student development through the enhancement of their labor literacy.

The college will continue to carry out labor education, delving deeper into exemplary individuals and stories, guiding students to work diligently and steadfastly, and using labor to support the Chinese Dream.
