A delegation from the Organization Department of the Dongtai Municipal Party Committee visited the college for exchange and cooperation.

On the afternoon of May 7, 2024, Deputy Mayor of Dongtai City and Head of the Science and Technology Town, Yuan Cong, along with a delegation, visited our college to discuss strengthening exchanges, interactions, and deepening cooperation in industry-academia-research collaboration. Ding Huafeng, the Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Vice Dean Huang Tianye, department heads, representative teachers involved in industry-academia-research cooperation with Dongtai, and Chen Xiaoli, who serves as the Deputy Chief Technology Officer in Dongtai, attended the discussion.

Dean Ding Huafeng warmly welcomed the delegation from the Dongtai Municipal Committee Organization Department and provided an overview of our college's basic situation, including our organizational structure, talent cultivation, discipline construction, scientific research, and industry-academia-research collaboration.

Yuan Cong, the Deputy Mayor of Dongtai City and the head of the 16th batch of Science and Technology Town Chiefs in Jiangsu Province, introduced the basic situation and industrial characteristics of Dongtai City. He expressed the hope to expand cooperation channels, enhance the integration of industry, academia, and research, and achieve high-level cooperation and common development between the two sides.

Ma Guilong, the Deputy Secretary of the "Two New" Working Committee of Dongtai Municipal Committee and the section chief of the Talent Work Section of the Organization Department, introduced the development of the new generation of information technology industry in Dongtai and the technical needs of key enterprises. He also extended an invitation to the new members of the Science and Technology Town Chiefs.

Teacher Chen Xiaoli reported on the work undertaken during his tenure in Dongtai over the past year and expressed his commitment to continue working hard and achieving more fruitful results in the future.

Dean Ding Huafeng briefed the delegation on the cooperation between our college and Dongtai, highlighting the achievements made. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding Dongtai's industrial situation, the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, as well as student internships and practical training.

The discussions were fruitful, and both parties expressed their intention to continuously expand cooperation areas, promote comprehensive synergy in governance, industry, academia, and research innovation. Our college adheres to serving national strategies while also contributing to regional economic development. Leveraging our disciplinary advantages, we will align with the needs of Dongtai's enterprises to support Dongtai in achieving high-quality development. We will strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Dongtai, actively explore innovative reform models, gather common innovation resources, and form a new synergy in governance, industry, academia, and research in talent cultivation, technical services, and achievement transformation, realizing mutual benefits and new developments.
