On the afternoon of March 7th, our college convened the second general faculty meeting for the academic year 2024, covering the representation of the college at the Tenth Faculty Representative Assembly and the deployment report for the new academic year's work.
In accordance with the notification from the university's labor union regarding the selection of representatives for the Tenth Faculty Representative Assembly and the Nineteenth Union Member Representative Assembly, our college's labor union, under the leadership of the college party committee, researched and recommended candidates, and convened a general faculty meeting to elect representatives through anonymous voting.
The Secretary of the College Party Committee, Qu Xianghua, delivered the deployment report for the college's work in 2024. The report focused on the "8 Key Projects" and "6 Special Actions" outlined by the Ministry of Education for 2024, aligning them with the key tasks of the school for 2024. It mobilized the college to focus on five key areas of work in 2024: first, the establishment of a doctoral program in the primary discipline of mechanical engineering; second, the construction of an Excellent Engineer College; third, the continuous improvement of undergraduate talent quality; fourth, the emphasis on scientific research and organized research activities; fifth, the effective promotion of graduate employment. He emphasized that in the face of new challenges, all faculty and staff of the college must unite as one, with each person participating in the college's reform and development, seizing new opportunities, strengthening the college, and achieving new breakthroughs.
