An Academic Presentation by Professor Feng Yixiong from Zhejiang University

At 9:30 am on November 17, 2023, at the invitation of Prof. Ding Huafeng of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Prof. Feng Yixiong from Zhejiang University gave an academic presentation on “Key Technologies and Platforms Research and Development for the Whole Lifecycle Value Chain Collaboration in the Industry 5.0 Environment” at this School, and more than 100 teachers and students attended this presentation.

Feng Yixiong, professor, doctoral supervisor, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power & Mechatronic Systems, Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, recipient of the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, Chief Scientist of the State Key Research and Development Program, director of the Zhejiang University-CGN Advanced Energy Equipment Digital Design and System Engineering Joint Research and Development Center, vice-chairman of the Industrial Big Data and Intelligent Systems Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and vice-chairman of the Applied Graphics Professional Committee of China Graphics Society, has been awarded one national second prize for technical inventions, one second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award and nine first prizes in Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award.

His report focused on the major scientific issues of collaborative design principles and evolutionary decision-making mechanisms for the whole lifecycle of nuclear power equipment, known as the national business card, studied the collaborative mode of the whole lifecycle value chain of nuclear power equipment in the industry 5.0 environment, broke through the product whole lifecycle value chain collaborative technology that integrated mathematics and physics, developed a platform for the whole lifecycle value chain collaboration of nuclear power equipment, to support the independent research and innovation of new nuclear power equipment. In addition, Prof. Feng Yixiong mentioned that the manufacturing industry is facing an upgrading transformation from technology-driven to service-driven and then to value-driven development, and the integration of value chain synergy with the whole lifecycle of the product has become the focus of attention for the design, manufacturing and operation and maintenance of high-end equipment in the new era of Industry 5.0.

Prof. Fengs report was in-depth but easy to understand, and both teachers and students have benefited greatly, not only having a deeper understanding of the related fields, but also being able to gain many practical insights and reflections from it. After the report, Prof. Feng answered the questions raised by teachers and students and invited them to visit Zhejiang University for study and exchange. (Reported by Li Jie)
