(Gao Di, Zhang Binbin and Hao Guocheng) In November, Hubei Province enters an invigorating autumn climate. This is the first autumn after the release of epidemic control. On Saturday, November 18, 2023, the Labor Union of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information organized a trip to Jiuzhen Mountain for faculty members to relax, to strengthen their physical fitness, and to have an intimate contact with nature, where they experienced the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland.
Jiuzhen Mountain Scenic Area is located in the core area of Jiuzhen Mountain National Forest Park, covering an area of 3 square kilometers. It is named after the nine peaks stretching together. In the morning, the faculty and staff walked into the scenic area and traversed over a thousand meters of Zhiyin Valley. Along the way, the teachers walked and stopped, enjoying attractions such as Zhiyin Valley, Fuqin Stone, Ziqi Thatched Cottage, Shifu Stone and Shanrenju, and listening to and imagining the story of Boya and Ziqi. They deeply cherished and admired the revolutionary martyr Zhu Liwen, appreciated the hard-won beauty of our country today, and paid tribute to the revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country!
Around noon, many faculty and staff members reached the top of the main peak of Jiuzhen Mountain after walking up the steep 598 steps of the Fuyunti. The warm autumn sun was pouring over the slopes, and the beautiful scenery of the mountains was in full view.
The main peak is 276 meters above sea level, known as “the First Peak of Jianghan Plain”, and the highest attraction of the scenic area, “Love Locking Platform” is located here. Climbing high, observing the scenery, enjoying the scenery, and feeling the beautiful atmosphere, everyone felt relaxed and happy. In the afternoon, after visiting other attractions in the scenic area on their own, all staff members returned to school by bus.
The trip to Jiuzhen Mountain allowed everyone to regulate their mental state after stressful work, promoted physical and mental health, strengthened the communication and exchange among colleagues, and stimulated the enthusiasm of the faculty and staff for life. All faculty and staff will devote themselves to their work in a higher state, staying to their original mission of educating people, keeping in mind their mission and responsibility, and contributing to the development of the School.
