Science and Technology Cultural Festival | Our Students Achieved Good Results in the Seventh “National College Students’ IC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition” (Central China Division)!

From July 18 to 20, the finals of the 7th “National College Students’ IC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition” (Central China Division) were successfully held in Hefei University of Technology. A total of 9 teams from this School participated in the competition, among which 7 teams entered the finals of the Central China Division and won 4 first prizes and 2 second prizes, which is a significant improvement compared to the first time in 2022 when we won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes in the Central China Division. The competition is AWCloud Cup, which is based on the machine vision system in industrial automation and adopts the online AIEP platform. The competition involves the fields of FPGA design, embedded Linux and AI technology.

The School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information has always attached great importance to this competition. Since the beginning of the semester, the School has launched competition planning and mobilized all students to actively participate in the event. Teachers of this School, including Wang Jiahao, Luo Dapeng and Zhang Xiangli have launched the pre-competition mobilization and organization of the competition for all the students, and held many meetings to discuss the competition, invited seniors to answer questions and solve puzzles, and organized the students to go to Hefei to participate in the competition, which provided the greatest support for the participating students.

The National College Students’ IC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is an important competition for universities to cultivate cutting-edge talents in the field of integrated circuits. The competition is co-sponsored by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the cutting-edge enterprises in the field of integrated circuits, which serves the development of China's IC industry and is conducive to the deepening of the integration of industry and education and the cooperation between schools and enterprises. The event also integrates the industry development needs into the teaching process, which can effectively enhance students’ innovation ability and practice level in the field of integrated circuits, provide a rich talent pool for the development of integrated circuit industry, and promote the development of integrated circuit industry in China.
