“Industrial Technology Innovation Center for Industrial Vision Detection” Exchange Meeting & Awarding Ceremony Were Held

 Recently, Lu Yuan, the Party Secretary and President of Wuhan Zhongdida Assets Operation Co., Ltd, Qu Xianghua, the Party Secretary of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Shan Huasheng, the Deputy Director of Institute of Science and Technology Development, Jiang Feng, the Office Director of Institute of Science and Technology Development, Wen Guojun, the Deputy Director of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Associate Professor Mei Shuang, and He Xin, the Branch Party Secretary of Experiment Center, visited Dongguan Tarry Electronics Co., Ltd. to attend “Industrial Technology Innovation Center for Industrial Vision Detection” Exchange Meeting & Awarding Ceremony.

    In July 2022, this School cooperated with Dongguan Tarry Electronics Co., Ltd. and its sole subsidiary Dongguan Kobarry Automation Technology Co., Ltd. and jointly built Industrial Technology Innovation Center for Industrial Vision Detection; meanwhile, both parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement on technical breakthrough in industrial vision detection and application. The exchange summarized the previous cooperation between both parties, promoted the all-round university-enterprise cooperation and accelerated the application of industrial vision detection technology. At the same time, the awarding ceremony of the industrial technology innovation center was held.     

 Prior to the meeting, both parties paid a visit to the park area and the workshops of Tarry Electronics. During the interim, General Manager Fu Huarong, Senior Director Pan Yunfeng, Senior Operation Manager Zhang Zhongwu and Software Manager Yao Junfeng of Dongguan Kobarry Automation Technology Co., Ltd. led them to visit the application cases of Kobarry Automation Technology in the field of industrial vision and showed their technical strength and R&D capability in this field. Meanwhile, they showed the research findings of university-enterprise cooperation, including multi-camera-based automation detection system and graphic image processing algorithm library platform and so on. The attendant leaders of both parties had a good opinion of the progress and the outcomes from the university-enterprise cooperation and expressed their will to further strengthen the cooperation and accelerate the innovative development of teh industrial vision technology.   

 On the exchange meeting, the senior director Pan Yunfeng introduced the development history of Dongguan Tarry Electronics and Kobarry, stressed the layout and determination of Kobarry in R&D of the high-end equipment in the fields of 3C, new energy and semiconductor; meanwhile, he urgently expressed his will to cooperate with CUG in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing.  

 Yao Junfeng, the software manager of Kobarry summarized the previous cooperation between both parties, proposed the research keynotes of the cooperation project in the next stage and looked into the subsequent cooperation and research direction. Subsequently, Mei Shuang, an associate professor of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information summed up the previous cooperation on behalf of CUG, systematically reported the cooperation outcomes of both parties, pointed out the defects in the cooperation between both parties and proposed the pertinent measures for optimization and improvement.

 Subsequently, Fu Huarong, the general manager of Tarry Electronics made a speech on behalf of the enterprise, affirmed the important roles of the cooperation between both parties in technical upgrading and transformation, expected both parties to make a breakthrough in talents team construction and talent introduction, hoped to strengthen the interaction between the university and the enterprise in the next stage and enable more scientific research teams and technical talents to deeply exchange and cooperate with the enterprise.

    Qu Xianghua, the Party Secretary of this School, on behalf of CUG, made a speech. Firstly, he thoroughly affirmed the effects of cooperation between both parties and gave thanks to the enterprise for giving the superior conditions in talents training and practice teaching. He stressed the importance of university-enterprise cooperation, proposed a series of new cooperation patterns, for example, both parties could establish the joint research center towards the major issues and the common key technology, jointly apply for the ministry and province-level major scientific and technical tasks and awards, strengthen the propaganda of the industrial technology innovation center and attract more scientific research team and high-quality talents.  

 Shan Huasheng, the Deputy Director of Institute of Science and Technology Development made a speech on behalf of CUG. He stressed the importance of close cooperation between the university and the enterprise and said that "apart from the enterprise, the university will not survive". He thought the university should explore the important demand and scientific problems so as to accelerate the development of scientific research and teaching. Industrial Technology Innovation Center was the 15th listed industrial technology innovation center of CUG as well as the first one of non-geosciences preponderant discipline of CUG and it played an important role in the construction of the new engineering and the training of excellence engineers in the new era. In the late stage, CUG would continue to care about and support the development of the center to make it a benchmarking platform for exchange and interaction between the university and the enterprise.   

 Lu Yuan, the Party Secretary and President of Wuhan Zhongdida Assets Operation Co., Ltd pointed out, university-enterprise cooperation was very important, which needed the joint effect and the long cooperation of both parties. He said it was extremely necessary to carry out a long cooperation towards some major industrial demands so as to guarantee better outcomes of both parties in technical research to better support the development of the enterprise. Meanwhile, he stressed the importance of the research findings for the value of the enterprise. Only when the research findings could really serve the enterprise, could the research significance and value be embodied.   

 Professor Wen Guojun, the Deputy Director of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, affirmed the previous outcomes of the university-enterprise cooperation in the speech. He said that both parties brought into play their advantages in the previous cooperation and obtained a series of innovative achievements, which accelerated the technical upgrading and development of the enterprise and provided solid practice foundation to the technical research of the university as well. Meanwhile, Professor Wen Guojun put forward constructive opinion for the cooperation in the future. Since Kobarry Automation Technology Co., Ltd was the main body unit of the joint postgraduate training base of CUG and the industrial technology innovation center for industrial vision detection, both parties should further strengthen the interaction and exchange, jointly solve the industrial bottleneck and key technical problems, strengthen the cooperation in talents training, and further put into place the measures such as enterprise tutor system, further education of enterprise talents and enterprise practice of professional master so as to feed more excellent talents to the enterprise.   

 Finally, both parties jointly held the awarding ceremony. At the awarding ceremony, Fu Huarong, the General Manager of Dongguan Kobarry, and Shan Huasheng, the Deputy Director of Institute of Science and Technology Development jointly uncovered the plaque of the industrial technology innovation center, emblemizing a solid platform support for both parties in technical breakthrough and talents training and further rewriting the new chapter. After the awarding ceremony, the representatives of both parties took a group photo and jointly witnessed this important moment. Meanwhile, the representatives of both parties said they would further build the strategic cooperation relationship, and jointly promote the implementation of talents exchange, technical innovation and major technical breakthrough to realize the joint progress and win-win of both parties.
