School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds the Report and Appraisal Meeting for Student Party Branch Secretaries

On the afternoon of March 23, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information held the 2022 Annual Report and Appraisal Meeting for Student Party Branch Secretaries in Room 308 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Yang Li, the full-time organizer of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the university, Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School, counselors of the student affairs leading group and all student Party branch secretaries attended the meeting.

According to the actual setting of student party branches of this school, before the meeting, 30 student party branches carried out the preliminary evaluation work by level and class in accordance with the “Notice of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information on the 2022 Report and Appraisal for Student Party Branch Secretaries”. Based on the performance of their duties over the past year, the student party branch secretaries reported and exchanged on their basic work, characteristic work, and planning work. The teachers of student affairs leading group participated in and guided the preliminary evaluation work, and selected 10 student party branch secretaries, including the 2021-1 master student Party branch, to participate in the final report and appraisal meeting of the school.

At the meeting, 10 student party branch secretaries focused on the study, propaganda and implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, basic construction of party branches in 2022, the cultivation of model branches, the establishment of a long-term mechanism for the vanguard role of party members, the problems and shortcomings, and the work plan for 2023, and reported on their duties to educate, manage and supervise party members, and organize, publicize, unite and serve teachers and students. The participating teachers and students asked the secretaries of the student party branches questions on the spot, and exchanged and discussed the work of student party building.

After listening carefully to the reports and exchanges of the student party branches, Yang Li made a concluding speech. She fully affirmed the work of the student party branches in the past year and expressed her appreciation and expectation for the innovative spirit of some party branches. In particular, the 2020-3 master student Party branch solidly promoted the integrated working mechanism of the Party, League and class, and promoted the integration of party building with the daily education management for graduate students; the second undergraduate party branch majoring in machinery worked well and integrated the party building into the peer leading process, so that the ideological construction would not lag behind and the service nature would not fall off the “line”. The undergraduate, master, and doctoral student Party branches should strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, optimize the ways of “passing on, helping, and leading”, and transform their respective advantages into their own advantages through digestion and absorption.

To enhance the student party building work of the school, Yang Li made three suggestions. First, we should consolidate the organizational foundation, strengthen the construction of party members, guide students and party members to learn from various aspects, and strive to improve their own abilities. Second, we should hold the key point of recruiting Party members, highlight the progressiveness, take improving the quality of Party members as the goal, and control the “entrance gate”. Third, we should strengthen the propaganda of the work of party branches, summarize in time, constantly integrate and improve, and strive to cultivate model party branches.
