The Series of Enterprise Visiting Activities of “Boosting Youth Dreams and Practicing Craftsman’s Sprit” for the Students of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in 2023 – A Visit to Haier Group

On the afternoon of March 24, the activity of “Boosting Youth Dreams and Practicing Craftsman’s Sprit” for the students of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information was carried out in Haier Group (Wuhan Park). Led by Luo Caiwei, employment specialist of the school, 30 junior and senior students majoring in Machinery visited the enterprise together to understand the development prospects of the industry and to appreciate the charm of the enterprise.

Liu Peng, the Process Technology Director of Haier Group, led all the students to visit the production line and office environment of the park, and gave a detailed introduction to the whole process of the product line currently being exported to Europe, the innovation breakthroughs in heating furnace heat exchanger tube process technology, and the current gaps between domestic and foreign technology.

Li Keda, the head of the Human Resources Department of Haier Smart Home Wuhan Park, introduced the development history of Haier and the strategic layout of the company in the era of intelligent manufacturing to the students. He said that Haier Group, as a benchmark in the industry and the only global IoT ecological brand for 3 consecutive years, has integrated artificial intelligence technology and digital simulation technology into the enterprise, encourages employees to innovate in technology, deeply integrates the new generation of artificial intelligence technology with advanced manufacturing technology, and operates in full digital format, so it is a demonstrator of digital manufacturing and globalization 4.0. He encouraged the students to deeply integrate the campus and the workplace based on their professional knowledge, to love their major, to fully realize the importance of mechanical engineering for the economic and social development of the country, and to plan their career path based on their personal practice.

After the visit and exchange, the students said that they had a clearer cognition of the current situation and future development of the industry, and also had a more scientific planning vision for the internship, employment and other practical issues they would be faced in the future.

 “Enterprise Tour” is the content of university-enterprise collaborative education activities of “Boosting Youth Dreams and Practicing Craftsman’s Sprit”, and is also an important measure of the school to promote employment.
