“Boosting Youth Dreams and Practicing Craftsman’s Sprit” – The School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds the Second Special Lecture on “Dialogue · Enterprise”

On the afternoon of March 10, the second special lecture on “Dialogue · Enterprise” was held in Room 301, No. 2 Teaching Building. Li Lin, manager of the Profile Design Office of Dongfeng Design Center, was invited to give a keynote report entitled “The Development Trends and Current Demand Status of the Automotive Industry” to 130 junior and senior students majoring in industrial design in this school.

Based on the current situation and development of the design industry, Li Lin introduced the corporate culture, enterprise development, and design philosophy of Dongfeng Group. He said it is important to combine the inspiration of styling design with traditional Chinese elements, and Dongfeng’s product design focuses on the integration of traditional Chinese elements to enhance corporate confidence and cultural confidence. Li Lin gave a comprehensive description of the current design classification, professional quality requirements, and enterprise talent cultivation in the automotive industry. He said that as an automobile manufacturing enterprise that could appear at the National Day parade, Dongfeng has always kept in mind the purpose of “serving national defense and building national defense”, and bravely shouldered the heavy responsibilities for enterprises. He hoped that students majoring in industrial design could closely integrate their professional knowledge with their career planning, and become the innovative and promising new youth of the times.

In the interactive session, the students exchanged their views on the selection and training standards and system for talents in enterprises. After the keynote presentation, the graduates in 2023 delivered resumes and interviews on site. The students who attended the lecture expressed their gratitude to the school for organizing such an event, which was not only a learning opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the major and the industry, but also an opportunity to face the enterprises directly for employment.
