In order to improve the quality and quantity of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) programs applied by this School, a mobilization meeting for NSFC programs application was held at 9:00 a.m. on January 10, 2023. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, and the relevant teachers who will apply for the 2023 NSFC programs attended the meeting, which was chaired by Luo Jie, Deputy Dean of the School.
Luo Jie, Deputy Dean of the School, conveyed the spirit of the speech made by Vice President Liu Yongsheng at the mobilization meeting of the University for the application of NSFC programs. In view of the actual situation of the School, Luo Jie pointed out that our School has been making progress in the NSFC programs application, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in quality and quantity, and he hoped that more teachers should prepare carefully and apply as much as they can, so as to improve the quality and quantity of the NSFC programs and make breakthroughs in the key programs.
Professor Li Min from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the topic of “Exchange on the National Natural Science Foundation of China”, introduced her experience in applying for NSFC general programs and gave some pertinent suggestions on how to choose the topic, how to write the basis for program application, research content, research proposal, and how to choose the application code. She encouraged the NSFC applicants to pursue excellence, eliminate all possible failure factors in their applications, and conquer the judges with excellent topic and design.
Professor Zhang Jing from the Department of Telecommunications introduced her experience in applying for NSFC with the title of “Sharing the Application Process of NSFC in 2022”. She gave a detailed introduction to the application procedures of NSFC, and advised NSFC applicants to carefully write the research content, focus on refining scientific issues, and improve their writing skills; at the same time, the applicants should consult with experts in the same industry to revise and proofread the NSFC application repeatedly.
Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, made a concluding speech. He expressed his congratulations on the achievements in NSFC application of the School in 2022. According to the funds actually received by the School in 2022, he said that the teachers of the School have made certain achievements and progress in both basic research and social services, and he hoped that the teachers would make further efforts, give full play to their team strength and help each other, and strive to submit satisfactory answers to the application of NSFC programs in 2023.
Deputy Dean Luo Jie commented on the reports of the two teachers, thanked them for their unreserved sharing of their experience in NSFC application, thanked the teachers for their active participation, and wished them good luck for the NSFC application in 2023.
