At 15:30 p.m. on October 27, the second session of excellent alumni experience sharing meeting on “Celebrating the Anniversary of CUG and Building the Future” was held in Room 406 of No. 3 Teaching Building. Zhong Xian majored in industrial design in our School as an undergraduate. During her college years, she had excellent academic achievements, served as the main student cadre of the School, and was keen on scientific and technological innovation. After graduation, she turned her ideal into practical action. She first set up a personal design studio in Guangzhou, and then returned to her hometown of Boao, Hainan, to set up a cultural and creative company. She created the "Hello Captain" cultural creation-B&B-cultural travel industry chain, and constantly explored new business models, and even signed a contract with the well-known brand Wahaha. At the sharing meeting, Zhong Xian used vivid photos and passionate stories to spread her struggle to realize her dream of entrepreneurship to the students, encouraging them to seize opportunities, give play to their professional expertise, forge ahead with the times, and find breakthroughs.
Zhong Xian, who is very passionate about public welfare, talked about her experience in founding the Boao Public Class and serving rural children during the sharing session. She called on students to keep their love for the Party and the country, and to be passionate about public service and serving the community.
In the interactive activity, Zhong Xian, based on her entrepreneurial experience of rooting in the grassroots, serving her hometown and revitalizing the countryside, answered the questions raised by the students about career development planning. She called on the students to think, venture and create, to inherit the glory of CUG in the past seventy years, to be firm in their goals, to keep learning, to be willing to devote themselves and to be innovative.
It is understood that the excellent alumni experience sharing meeting on “Celebrating the Anniversary of CUG and Building the Future” is one of the important activities of the School to celebrate the 70th anniversary of CUG, and is also a special theme of the School’s brand activity “My Growth in CUG”. The School will continue to invite outstanding alumni representatives to tell students stories about personal development, innovation and entrepreneurship, academic science and technology, to inspire teachers and students to make continuous efforts to realize the dream of “building a world-class university in the field of earth science”.
