A Symposium for the 2022 Graduates of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds

At 10 o'clock on June 27, the symposium for the 2022 graduates of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information was held in Room 308 of No. 2 Teaching Building, which was hosted by Luo Caiwei, counselor of Grade 2018. Liu Jie, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean of the University, Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Bo, Luo Jie, Huang Tianye, deputy dean of the School, all teachers of the Student Affairs Leading Group and representatives of the 2022 graduates attended the meeting.

At the symposium, the representatives of graduates talked about their understanding of campus learning and life. Zhao Haonan expressed his determination to become an outstanding young Party member with lofty aspirations, great virtues, great talents and great responsibilities. Based on his own experience, Ma Xiaoyu shares his career planning experience and hopes to contribute to deepening school-enterprise cooperation. Ye Bin made suggestions on course arrangement and student activities of the University.  Buasi Rehman expressed her gratitude to teachers and classmates who helped her during the low period, and made suggestions for the University to strengthen mental health education. Kudelti Almujiang hoped that the student cadre would give full play to the role of mentorship. Tan Songyuan expressed his determination to contribute to the national aerospace industry, and put forward suggestions on the jobs for postgraduate, counselor allocation and multi-disciplinary cooperation. Zhang Xinxin shared his experience of studying for ten years at China University of Geosciences and suggested that students should pay attention to physical exercise in order to better participate in scientific research. During the exchange between teachers and students, other student representatives discussed with teachers on daily life, course study, student work, scientific research and competition, further education and employment, and overseas study visits.

The School leaders introduced the current situation related to the construction and development of the School, responded to the comments and suggestions made by the students, and said that the School would carefully study, formulate and improve the relevant policies, and constantly improve the work in all aspects. Qu Xianghua stressed that the students’ suggestions were highly compatible with the talent training and reform and development direction of the School, and the School would further improve its work according to the suggestions to provide a better learning and living environment for all students, and also hoped that the graduates would continue to pay attention to the development of the University and make suggestions for improving the school-running quality.

After carefully listening to the speeches of graduates and teachers, Liu Jie made a summary speech based on his own experience. He first congratulated the graduates on their successful graduation and the upcoming start of a new chapter, and thanked the graduate representatives for their valuable suggestions for their alma mater on behalf of the university. He expressed the hope that the students could shoulder heavy responsibilities in the prosperous times, keep their original intentions in the struggle, practice their skills in the society, strengthen their ideals and beliefs, cultivate their feelings of home and country, make contributions in the places where the motherland needs, grow into reusable pillars and talents, and show the most beautiful youth background. Finally, he wished the students a great journey to a better and bright future.
