On May 19, the series of enterprise visiting activities of “Boosting Youth Dreams and Practicing Craftsman’s Sprit” for the Students of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information were carried out for the first time. Luo Caiwei and Mamat of the Student Affairs Leading Group led 30 students who will graduate in 2022 and 2023 to FiberHome Telecommunication to learn about the current situation of the industry and career development.

Firstly, Chen Xiaowu, Deputy General Manager of Public R&D Department of FiberHome Telecommunication, introduced the development history of the company, enterprise technology development in recent years and future development direction. He believed that learning was a continuous process, and the enterprise enabled students to work in practice and keep contact with new knowledge in the industry while maintaining research pursuit and enthusiasm. He hoped that students would achieve their personal goals in their professional fields while persisting in learning and improving their personal values.

After that, Zhong Liang, Human Resources Manager of Public R&D Department, with the theme of “Communication Industry in the Era of Digital Economy”, talked about the development and demand of communication industry, employment demand of enterprises, career planning and job hunting in the current era of digital economy. The students then exchanged and interacted with the staff on the current employment environment, talent training and other issues.

Finally, under the guidance of enterprise commentators, they visited the enterprise exhibition hall. In the exhibition hall, students learned about the group profile and its domestic and international layout, and had a clearer perception of the company's industry honors, research and development fields, science and technology innovation system and achievements. After the visit, the students were more impressed by the development history of various chips and fiber optic prefabricated rods displayed in the exhibition hall.
