“Working Together for Win-Win” – School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Signs a Strategic Cooperation and Donation Agreement with Hubei CHIDGE Technology Co., Ltd

On April 21, the strategic cooperation and donation signing ceremony between Hubei CHIDEGE Technology Co., Ltd and School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information was held in Conference Room 314 of No. 2 Teaching Building. President Ding Yan, Chairman Zhou Qiang, Deputy General Managers Li Mi and Ding Xiaohua, Assistant to Chairman Wang Jingxin of Hubei CHIDEGE Technology Co., Ltd, Zhao Kai, General Manager of Wuhan Dida Mining Co., Ltd, Xing Xiangqin, former Vice President of CUG, Chen Huarong, Director of Alumni and Social Cooperation Office of CUG, Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Li Bo, Deputy Dean, Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and teacher representatives attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Qu Xianghua.

This ceremony is one of the series of activities of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information for the 70th anniversary of CUG. At the signing ceremony, representatives from both sides signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement" and "Donation Agreement", and Hubei CHIDGE Technology Co., Ltd. donated RMB 300,000 Yuan scholarship and the research equipment worth of RMB 200,000Yuan to our School.

Li Bo, deputy dean of the School, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the School. He thanked Hubei CHIDGE for the trust and long-term support to the University, expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation in personnel training, scientific research innovation, and results incubation, and hoped to broaden the development of discipline construction of the School and the industrial scientific and technological innovation road of Hubei CHIDGE through practical cooperation between the two sides.

Chairman Zhou Qiang introduced the industrial development strategy of Hubei CHIDGE Technology, hoping to promote the application of scientific and technological achievements in Hubei CHIDGE Technology, and accelerate the development of intelligent equipment and testing technology in the field of road and bridge construction through cooperation with our School.

Director Chen Huarong said that the cooperation and donation was a strong support for the 70th anniversary of CUG. We should improve the daily working mechanism of cooperation between the two sides, give full play to the needs of Hubei CHIDGE in technical personnel and new industrial development, and the advantages of relevant disciplines of China University of Geosciences, so as to promote the in-depth university-industry cooperation and results transformation and speed up the application and construction of scientific research platforms between the two sides.

Xing Xiangqin, Vice President of CUG made a concluding speech. He stressed that the two sides should carry out practical cooperation, enhance the core competitiveness of Hubei CHIDGE Technology, and help the discipline development of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information. At the same time, with the help of the advanced equipment and advanced management of Hubei CHIDGE Technology, we can provide conditions for the internship and practice of students in the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, to promote the cultivation of excellent talents. We look forward to the joint efforts of both sides to make the cooperation plan reach a fruitful conclusion as soon as possible.

After the ceremony, Zhou Qiang, Chairman of Hubei CHIDGE Technology, and Ding Xiaohua, Deputy General Manager, visited relevant laboratories of our School, to gain an in-depth understanding of our research laboratory environment and equipment, and have a further sense of our superior scientific research direction, achievements and teams.
