School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds the 2021 Annual Report and Appraisal Meeting for Student Party Branch Secretaries

On the evening of March 15, School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information held the 2021 Annual Report and Appraisal Meeting for Student Party Branch Secretaries in Room 301 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, counselors of the student affairs leading group and representatives of student party members attended the meeting.

At the meeting, in accordance with the "Notice on the 2021 Report and Appraisal of Grassroots Party Building by Party Secretaries", 24 student party branch secretaries focused on the basic construction of party branches in 2021, the results of party history learning and education, the cultivation of model branches, the establishment of a long-term mechanism for the vanguard role of party members, the problems and shortcomings, and the work plan for 2022, and reported on their duties to educate, manage and supervise party members, and organize, publicize, unite and serve teachers and students. The participating teachers asked the secretaries of the student party branches questions on the spot, and exchanged and discussed the work of student party building.

After listening carefully to the reports and exchanges of the student party branches, Qu Xianghua made a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the work of the student party branches in the past year and expressed his appreciation and expectation for some of them. In particular, the 2021-7 Master's Party Branch was established less than a year ago, but its work was well arranged, with plans in mind, ideas in brain and tricks in hand; the 2020-4 Master's Party Branch relied on laboratory equipment, used VR technology, and took Party history learning and education as an opportunity to organically integrate Party building into scientific research.

Qu Xianghua pointed out that student party members, as advanced members of the student group, should cherish their party membership, always be struct with themselves according to the Party Constitution and rules, and do what they are required to do first. Student party members should play a pioneering role and fully demonstrate their true nature of "dedication, responsibility and action" as party members, should also strive to constantly improve themselves, always maintain their advanced nature, and continue to exert efforts in the demonstration and leadership role.

Qu Xianghua stressed that the student party branch should give full play to the role of a fighting base and practice the three words "pass, help and lead". They should make clear what the characteristics of the party branch are and what the characteristic actions are, adhere to integrity and innovation, and do a good job of experience inheritance. They should think of ideas on the word "help", clarify what to help, implement how to help, and effectively play the role of "leading geese"; should work on the word "lead", clarify the profound meaning of party building and league (class) building, innovate the mechanism of "lead" and enhance the effectiveness of "lead".

Qu Xianghua finally put forward four suggestions on the construction of the student party branch. First, vigorously absorb outstanding young students into the party organization, and bring outstanding young students together into the party team and the cause. Second, the party branch should reinforce discipline in life to ensure strict requirements for every party member and no specialization. Third, develop the annual work plan of the party branch to ensure that the daily work is organized and arranged. Fourth, strengthen the daily publicity, display the achievements of branch construction, and ensure that there are highlights in party building.
