School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds the Mobilization Meeting for the Application of Programs Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2022

On January 14, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information held a mobilization meeting for the application of programs supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2022. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Ding Huafeng, Dean of the School, Luo Jie, Deputy Dean of the School, and more than 40 teachers who intended to apply for the NSFC in 2022 attended the meeting.

Deputy dean Luo Jie presided over the meeting, and he introduced the spirit of Vice President Liu Yongsheng's speech on the national fund application work at the fund application mobilization meeting of the university. According to the situation of this School, he pointed out that the quality and quantity of our fund application should be improved, and he hoped that more teachers would be funded by the fund, and he expected that the excellent youth and outstanding youth talent projects would be won.

Secretary Qu Xianghua said that from the fund arrival of our school in 2021, the teachers of our school have shown notable strength in basic research and social services, and he hoped that the teachers would stick to their original intention and try to change the status quo of the school in the small number of approved projects of the National Foundation, and strive to achieve a big leap in the number of approved projects of the National Foundation in 2022.

Mr. Zhou Feng from the Department of Communication Engineering introduced his experience in applying for NSFC. He suggested that in applying for NSFC we need to highlight scientific problems and use opportunities such as applying for open funds to practice, improve their writing, treat each expert's review as a valuable resource, use winter vacation to focus on thinking and repeatedly revise the application letter.

Mr. Ge Mingfeng from the Department of Mechanical Engineering introduced in detail the experience of successfully obtaining the fund from the beginning of topic selection to the submission of the fund application, explaining each step precisely and carefully, reminding the teachers to write the application letter according to the review points, taking into account the majority peers and minority peers, to achieve flawlessness in the aspects that the review experts focus on.

Ding Huafeng, Dean of the School, pointed out that the quality of the fund application is the most critical, and it should be revised repeatedly, and the opinions of peers of all sizes are very important. Dean Ding reminded all teachers that there should be continuity in the application, not just chasing hot spots and changing directions. He said that this year is the year with the largest number of fund applicants in our school, and he hoped that the school would make a breakthrough in NSFC application in 2022.
