The Party Committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Expressed Condolences to Retired Faculty and Staff

    On the afternoon of January 13, 2022, Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Labor Union of the School, together with comrades Sun Lipeng, Wei Nianlong and Deng Qun of the CUG Retired Sixteen Branch, paid a visit to some resident retired faculty members.

The Party Committee of the School attaches great importance to the retirement work, always adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, especially the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and instructions on the work of retired cadres, so as to improve the political position, consciously serve the overall situation, and actively take responsibility. The School has overcome difficulties and actively implemented the political and living treatment of retired cadres. The old comrades are also active in their old age and have created a new situation of retired work together with the School. At present, the number of retired workers in our School is at least 50.

The retired faculty and staff of colleges and universities have great positive energy. Focusing on the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, the Party Committee of our School has set up an effective platform, actively organized and guided the veteran comrades to exert their political advantages, knowledge advantages, experience advantages and network advantages, to gather energy for the development of the School.

The rapid development of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information over the years comes from the correct leadership of the Party Committee of the University and the accumulation of the dedicated work of the retired faculty and staff; the work of the retired faculty and staff has always been an important part of the development of the School. In the future, we will continue to strengthen our study, develop innovation, further unify our thinking, fully explore the role of retired faculty and staff, and place retirement work in a more important position; continue to strengthen our determination in democratic decision-making and scientific development, establish the "people-oriented" management concept, and carry forward the sentiment that the faculty and staff share the honor and disgrace of the School; continue to strengthen political construction, ideological construction, party organization construction, and strengthen the service management for elderly comrades, so as to embody the usefulness of the elderly.
