Good news came from Dongshan Guangshuo Technology Industrial Park 

The "Aromatic Block Assembly and Packaging Intelligent Production Line", developed by the professor team of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences on commission by Suzhou ZhanQiao Electric Appliances Co., Ltd., has completed functional testing and was delivered for trial production. The production line is the first result of “government-industry-university-research” collaborative innovation in Dongshan Town.

In the trial production stage, with the industrialization demand as the traction and the win-win cooperation of all participants as the link, the investment in research and experimental development (R&D) of the town increased steadily, and the town made every effort to do a good job in service guarantee, which created favorable conditions for the core technology research. Within three months after the delivery, the production line has realized the automation of the whole production process.

Walking into the intelligent production workshop, you can't see the busy figure of a large number of workers, and the silver cabinet full of "scientific sense" is the well-deserved "protagonist". From the injection molding of aromatic block and the removal of the glue channel, to the on-line measurement of aromatic block weight and vent, the automatic serial transportation of supports, and then to the assembly of aromatic block supports and the sealed packaging of finished products, the whole process is intelligent production. Every 10 seconds, one product is rolled off the production line, and the annual output of a single production line reaches 2.1 million, which greatly improves the production efficiency of enterprise, and creates a new way of benign interaction between technological innovation and market cultivation.

In order to accelerate the transformation of traditional industries and release new momentum for development, Dongshan Town signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences in 2021. Wang Xuefeng, secretary of the Party Committee of the town, and Qu Xianghua, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, jointly inaugurated the "Dongshan Town Industry Promotion and Development Center of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences", officially opening the curtain of the linkage of "government-industry-university-research" in Dongshan Town.

Since the cooperation, the two sides have held several seminars on “government-industry-university-research”, focusing on the objectives of forging a technical team to serve the innovation needs of enterprises and promoting a number of excellent scientific and technological achievements to speed up the integration of the manufacturing industry and information technology in Dongshan Town.

The successful implementation of the collaborative innovation achievements of “government-industry-university-research” has helped to promote the "good start" of economy of Dongshan Town in the Year of the Tiger. At present, the innovative concept of government guidance, industry guidance and research-education coordination is being extended to all links of intelligent manufacturing, helping Dongshan Town's high-quality economic development to enter the "fast lane".
