School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the People's Government of Jiujiang District, Wuhu City

    On the afternoon of Jan. 12, 2022, representatives of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information and the People's Government of Jiujiang District, Wuhu City signed a strategic cooperation agreement in No. 2 Teaching Building of CUG. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Ding Huafeng, Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information and other School leaders and directors of departments, Liu Xuedong, Head of the Organization Department of Jiujiang District, Xiao Zongming, Director of the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiujiang District, Pei Jieming, Director of Jiujiang Investment Promotion Center, Ma Bingbing, Vice President of Jiujiang Party School, Wang Xiaoguo, Deputy General Manager of Jiujiang Construction and Investment Company, and Ma Cheng, Section Member of Jiujiang Investment Promotion Center attended the signing ceremony. The meeting was hosted by Comrade Qu Xianghua, and Ding Huafeng delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the School. Comrade Liu Xuedong, on behalf of the People's Government of Jiujiang District, expressed the eager desire to carry out in-depth cooperation and development with our School. The meeting was held on January 11, 2022, the day after Comrade Qu Xianghua returned to school after an investigation to Jiujiang district.

 

Jiujiang District belongs to Wuhu, a sub-central city of Anhui Province, and is named after "Jiuzi" the ancient name of Wuhu and its location adjacent to the Yangtze River. The robotics and intelligent equipment industry base is developing rapidly in Jiujiang District, with a number of provincial-level new R&D institutions and provincial international science and technology cooperation base, the CNAS-accredited enterprise experimental center (test center), a number of provincial-level enterprise technology centers, engineering technology research centers, academician workstations, technology innovation centers, industrial technology research institutes and other types of R&D platforms. The robotics and intelligent equipment technology business incubator of Jiujiang was identified as a national science and technology business incubator by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

 

 

    Based on the principle of "mutual support, complementary advantages, collaborative innovation and common development", the two sides will closely combine the scientific and educational resources of the university and the advantageous industries of Jiujiang District to carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of research on major issues of economic, social and scientific and technological development, training and transfer of professional and skilled talents and related industrial development, and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, to establish a new cooperation model of "government, industry, university, research and application" between the university and local government, which reflects the characteristics of the times and meets the requirements of the times, to improve the ability and level of higher education institutions to support regional economic and social development, and to help the transformation and upgrading of strategic emerging industries such as robotics and intelligent equipment and traditional pillar industries such as auto parts in Jiujiang District.

  

  Relying on its own scientific research and talent advantages, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information will strengthen its services to the development of science and technology industry in Jiujiang District in talent training and scientific research cooperation. The People's Government of Jiujiang District will coordinate and integrate its own resources, provide experts and scholars with a good working platform and research environment, and implement the supporting policies and funds for project co-construction.
