School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Successfully Holds the 2021 Annual Report of Middle-Level Executives and the Fourth Meeting of the Third Staff Assembly and Trade Union General Meeting

On December 30, 2021, the 2021 Annual Report of Middle-Level Executives and the Fourth Meeting of the Third Staff Assembly and Trade Union General Meeting of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information was successfully held in Room 301 of No. 2 Teaching Building. The meeting was chaired by Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information. More than 100 people attended the meeting, including Ding Huafeng, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Dean Li Bo, Luo Jie, Wen Guojun and Huang Tianye, members of the leadership team of the School, middle-level cadres and staff representatives.

According to the agenda of the meeting, in the first phase of the meeting, Dean Ding Huafeng, on behalf of the faculty team, made the "2021 Annual Work Report of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information". In the report, Dean Ding reviewed the work and achievements of the School in 2021 from five blocks, namely, the effective work of party building and ideological and political work, the obvious effect of talent team building, the new high quality of scientific research, the steady improvement of the internal construction of the School, and the deepening of the internal management. He also analyzed the problems and shortcomings of the School, and put forward the future ideas and goals of the School in faculty construction, discipline construction, teaching and scientific research in the light of the actual work of the School.

Then, Dean Ding Huafeng made a personal report to all the faculty and staff from the aspects of ideal belief, cultural education and scientific research projects. Party Secretary Qu Xianghua gave a summary report on his work in 2021 from four aspects: morality, ability, diligence and performance. Deputy Secretary Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Dean Li Bo, Luo Jie, Wen Guojun, Huang Tianye and other middle-level cadres reported on their work around four major aspects including ideological and political study, the completion of the main work, the effectiveness, highlights and characteristics, and shortcomings and efforts. Finally, the faculty and staff conducted an annual democratic evaluation on the reports of middle-level cadres. This conference not only comprehensively, objectively, fairly and accurately evaluated the moral performance, job performance and integrity of our middle-level cadres, strengthened the management and supervision, motivation and discipline of middle-level cadres, further mobilized the work enthusiasm of the majority of middle-level cadres, but also showed the good spirit of our cadres who were firm in their beliefs, diligent and pragmatic, courageous and honest, and achieved the purpose of exchanging experiences, learning from each other, making up shortcomings and promoting improvement.

In the second phase of the meeting, Hao Guocheng, Chairman of the Trade Union, reported the work achievements of the trade union in 2021 from the aspects of organization, democratic participation, rights and interests maintenance, cultural and sports activities, and self-construction. The trade union has carried out a variety of staff activities and achieved excellent results, contributing wisdom and adding strength to the reform, development and stability of the School. Finally, it was passed by all teachers by a show of hands. Li Changping, Director of the School Office, made a "Report on the Financial Performance of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in 2021" on behalf of the School Office, and made a detailed and specific explanation of the incomes and expenditures of the School.

In the third phase of the meeting, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information commended and awarded the teachers who won honors in teaching, research, service and student work in the last year.

Finally, Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, made a concluding speech. He firstly conveyed the spirit of the  winter vacation work arrangement meeting of the University, informed the main invigilation work arrangement of the School in the recent examination week, and clarified the principles and requirements of invigilation work. He also emphasized the safety of laboratories and the requirements of students' dissertation supervision from the perspective of teachers' morality. Finally, Secretary Qu expressed his heartfelt thanks to the teachers for their hard work in the past year; wished them a happy new year and greater achievements in 2022.

This is a standardized, compact, orderly and effective meeting, which is another solid step for our School in strengthening democratic management and implementing openness of school affairs, and will certainly have a positive impact on further mobilizing the enthusiasm of all faculty members, improving the quality of school operation, further strengthening discipline construction, improving the overall teaching and research level of the School, and promoting the sustainable and stable development of the School.
