China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd Jointly Established the "Basic Engineering Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Center"

At the beginning of the new year, the "Basic Engineering Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Center" jointly established by China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd was officially opened in Jintai headquarters. Wu Chunming, Deputy Dean of School of Science and Technology Development of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Chen Xueying, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd delivered speeches on behalf of the university and enterprises respectively. Li Liwen, general manager of Jintai Company, and Wu Chunming, Deputy Dean of School of Science and Technology Development of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), jointly unveiled the brand for the Center.

    Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. was once subordinate to the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources of the People’s Republic of China, and its early products were mainly the geological exploration, hydrological wells and oil drilling rigs. After the reform and opening up, it gradually transformed into an enterprise specialized in basic engineering construction equipment. It is one of the few century old manufacturing enterprises in the domestic engineering machinery industry.

Engineering equipment manufacturing industry is one of the important construction content of "Made in China 2025", and is also an important support for China's basic engineering construction. In 2021, at the historical intersection of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the centenary of the founding of Shanghai Jintai, Shanghai Jintai and China University of Geosciences join hands again to jointly establish the "Basic Engineering Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Center", which not only contains the origin of cooperation between the university and the enterprise, but also gives more opportunities and responsibilities in the new era.

The "Center" will rely on the respective industry advantages of the two sides to establish an innovation team with professional leaders, research bases and scientific research teams through the integration of human resources, scientific research resources and scientific research results, and jointly build the "industry-university-research-application" cooperation platform to coordinate the development of technological innovation in basic engineering equipment and promote the transformation of scientific research results.

The two sides will take the "Center" as the medium, organize the School and enterprise to accelerate the research and development of influential key and forward-looking technologies through independent research and development and joint research, will accelerate the formation of enterprise core technologies, strengthen independent brands, create industry standards, enhance the competitiveness of China's engineering equipment in the international market, and will actively strive for and participate in national and provincial major scientific research projects through the combination of project, team and base, so as to provide more, newer and better equipment for the infrastructure construction industry, and to add new momentum for domestic infrastructure construction and "the Belt and Road" projects.
