School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds a Symposium for the Representatives of Retired Faculty and Staff
In order to strengthen the communication with the retired faculty and staff, listen to their opinions and suggestions, and implement the general requirements of "mirroring, dressing, bathing and curing", the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information held a symposium for the representatives of retired faculty and staff in Room 314, No. 2 Teaching Building on the morning of December 29. The symposium was presided over by Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, representatives of retired faculty and staff, Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the School, Wen Guojun, deputy dean of the School, as well as the Secretary of the Party Branch of each department, and Department Head attended the symposium.
At the beginning of the symposium, Secretary Qu Xianghua firstly expressed his cordial condolences to the retired faculty and staff on behalf of the school, and reported the general situation of the school, focusing on the achievements and challenges faced by the School in recent years in various aspects such as faculty construction, student training, teaching and research. Secretary Qu thanked all the teachers for their continued concern and support for the work of the School and said that the leadership team of the School would continue to be motivated, pragmatic and practical, unite and lead all the staff to make unremitting efforts for the development of the School.
The retired faculty and staff listened carefully to the report of Secretary Qu, and they expressed their feelings freely, one by one, expressing their delight at the achievements made by the School and putting forward pertinent opinions and suggestions for the future development of the School. Mr. Sun Lipeng, a retired teacher, hoped to continue to play a role in the construction of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information and to be active in his old age. Mr. Zhou Shiping, a retired teacher, gave valuable suggestions for the future development of the School based on the comparison between the past and present construction of the School. Mr. Ye Dunfan, a retired teacher, gave suggestions for the future construction of electric engineering and electronic labs. Mr. Bu Jiawu, a retired teacher, made a number of suggestions on talent training, hoping that the research could be effectively combined with the production practice. Other retired teachers also expressed their gratitude and suggestions for development of the School.
Finally, Secretary Qu once again expressed his deep gratitude to all the retired faculty and staff present. He believed that the rapid development of the School over the years came from the correct leadership of the Party Committee and the accumulation of all the old comrades present at the post with their dedicated work. The Party Committee of the School will sincerely accept everyone's opinions and digest them gradually after the meeting, and some issues will be studied thematically, and those that can be solved will be solved immediately. He hoped that in the future, we can listen to the opinions of the grassroots, especially the old comrades, through more channels, so as to help the leadership team of the school and the party members and cadres to understand and evaluate themselves correctly, improve their shortcomings and make greater progress.
At the end of the symposium, the party and administration leaders and lab teachers accompanied the retired teachers to visit the labs and distributed New Year's Day condolences to wish them a happy New Year in advance!
