On the morning of July 7, the cooperation forum and signing ceremony between China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. were successfully held. Zhao Hua, General Manager of China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. (CREG), Zhuo Xingjian, Deputy General Manager of CREG, Yan Sixing, Deputy Director of Planning Department of CREG, Liu Jie, Vice President of CUG, Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Yan Jia, Director of Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Office, Zhu Jun, Deputy Director of President’s Office, Wu Chunming, Deputy Dean of Science and Technology Development School, Yuan Jiang, Deputy Director of Social Cooperation Office, Liu Dongjie, Deputy Dean of School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education, Dou bin, Deputy Dean of School of Engineering, Luo Jie and Wen Guojun, deputy deans of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Chen Xin, Deputy Dean of School of Automation, and relevant persons in charge of CREG attended the meeting. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, presided over the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants watched the development course of CUG and the propaganda film of CREG. Then, Zhuo Xingjian, deputy general manager of CREG, introduced the development situation of the company from industrial development layout, key development fields and existing problems to be tackled in key technologies. He said that the company currently focused the research and development of advanced equipment, the recruitment of innovative technology and talents, and the breakthrough of top problems in the industry. Based on the university-enterprise cooperation with CUG, we would take the advantageous of CUG and make full use of the company’s research and development technology and conditions to achieve win-win.
Next, under the common witness of the participants, Vice President Liu Jie and General Manager Zhao Hua signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides. Subsequently, the participants exchanged views on the work tasks, scientific research advantages, source of students, and university-enterprise co-construction, etc.
Wen Guojun, Deputy Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, put forward suggestions for cooperation, and introduced the possible technologies for cooperation, such as horizontal drilling, new technology of roadheader, etc. Dou bin, Deputy Dean of School of Engineering, introduced the majors related to the technologies of CREG and the scientific research level of the majors. Chen Xin, Deputy Dean of School of Automation, introduced the intelligent geological equipment research field of related majors of the school, and said that the school could provide technical support in intelligent equipment based decision-making and optimization.
Wu Chunming, Deputy Dean of Science and Technology Development School introduced the state key R & D projects and topics undertaken by CUG in recent years. He said that we would welcome CREG to put forward the demand for scientific research projects, both CUG and the company would work together to tackle key problems and overcome difficulties, and on the basis of bilateral cooperation, we would further explore the feasibility of industry-university-research collaborative education and training mechanism.
Yan Jia, Director of Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Office, said that providing internship and employment opportunities for students by enterprises could not only exercise students’ professional ability, but also be a way to publicize enterprises, furthermore, enterprises could obtain more high-quality talents, which was the result of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. In view of the follow-up cooperation between the two sides, he proposed to cooperate with the enterprise to carry out scientific research competition, and welcomed experts to make technical guidance and academic reports in CUG.
Zhao Hua, General Manager of CREG, said that China Railway Engineering Equipment Group had a solid scientific research foundation and rich front-line work experience, and had advantages in the research and development of shield machines, however, in the top fields, such as drill blades, they still need to be imported. CREG welcomes the participation of innovative talents from CUG and also hopes to form a team with the teacher for mutual guidance and exchange, so as to achieve the cooperation goal of mutual training of talents and overcoming difficulties in scientific research through cooperation.
Vice president Liu Jie made a concluding speech. He said, “CUG has profound academic, scientific research and human resources, and CREG is a leader in China’s manufacturing industry, so the two sides have a good foundation and prospect for cooperation. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, university-enterprise cooperation will surely achieve fruitful results, and will also continue to contribute to the development of national infrastructure.”
The successful holding of the symposium and signing ceremony further promoted the deepening of the friendly cooperative relationship between CUG and CREG, and also added a lot to the implementation of the university-enterprise cooperation development policy of CUG.
