The Fourth General Election Meeting of the Party Committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information was Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 3, the fourth general election meeting of the Party Committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information was held in Lecture Hall 301, No. 2 Teaching Building. Liu Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of the University, Leng Zaixin, deputy director of the Organization Department, and Chen Hui, deputy director of the Office of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, attended the meeting; 77 faculty Party members and 5 student Party members of the School attended the meeting. Comrade Sun Lipeng, a retired teacher of the School, and non-party personages were invited to attend the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Comrade Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee.

The meeting opened in the solemn national anthem.

Comrade Leng Zaixin, deputy director of the Organization Department, read out the Reply to the Fourth General Election Meeting Held by the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information on behalf of the Party committee of the University.

On behalf of the Third Party Committee, Comrade Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party committee of the School, delivered a work report entitled “Building on past achievements and forging ahead, striving for the building of high-level engineering school with distinctive characteristics”. The report reviewed the work of the last term of Party committee of the School from five aspects: actively creating a political ecology to provide a strong ideological and political guarantee for the reform and development of the School; giving full play to the core leadership role of the Party organization and conscientiously implementing the responsibilities of Party Building; strengthening the team building and create a good atmosphere for striving for excellence; strengthening the construction of the Party conduct and of an honest and clean government; focusing on the central task of Party building, joint efforts of the party and government for development, to make important progress in various undertakings. The report adhered to the problem-oriented approach to strengthen weak points and focus on implementation, made a prospect for the future work of the School, and called on all the Party members to arm their minds with Xi Jinping’s new socialist ideology with China’s characteristics in the new era, to devote more enthusiasm to the work and to strive for the construction of a distinctive and high-level engineering school under the correct leadership of the Party committee of the University.

Comrade Yu Xiaozhou, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, made a work report. The report summarized the work of the last Commission for Discipline Inspection from three aspects, including assisting the Party committee of the School based on functions and responsibilities, implementing the main responsibility, adhering to the system first, and building up the honest and clean defense line, and strengthening the supervision and accountability to promote the construction of Party conduct, and also put forward opinions and suggestions on the work of the next Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Comrade Li Changping, director of general office, made a report on the collection, use and management of Party fees.

In accordance with the prescribed procedures, the meeting deliberated and voted on the three reports one by one and adopted them unanimously.

Comrade Qu Xianghua reported the basic election process and candidates’ resumes of the members of the fourth Party committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information and the new Commission for Discipline Inspection, and read out the Reply of the Party Committee of the University on Approving the Candidates of the Fourth Party Committee and the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information.

The Party members present at the meeting voted and approved the chief counting overseer, counting overseer and votes counter. Wang Jiahao, the chief counting overseer, presided over the election. By secret ballot, Yu Xiaozhou, Wen Guojun, Luo Jie, Hao Guocheng, Huang Tianye, Han Guangchao and Qu Xianghua were elected to form the fourth Party committee of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, and Yu Xiaozhou, Du Yu and Li Changping formed the new Commission for Discipline Inspection.

During the time for counting votes, all Party members watched the warning education film “Abuse of the blade of rights”.

Liu Jie, vice president of the University, highly affirmed the achievements of the third party committee and the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in the past four years. He said that under the strong leadership of the Party committee of the University, the Party committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information had made great achievements in personnel training, teaching, scientific research, and laboratory construction. He hoped that the new Party committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information would take political construction as the guide, adhere to the Party’s overall leadership over the work of the school, especially actively study and explore the rules and paths of new engineering talents training, cultivate new engineering talents to meet the market demand, and provide a strong political guarantee for the construction of high-level engineering school.

The meeting came to an end in the resounding “Internationale”.

After the general election meeting, the new Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Fourth Party Committee of the School held the first meeting successively, elected Comrade Yu Xiaozhou as the Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection Commission and Qu Xianghua as the Secretary of the Fourth Party Committee, and discussed and determined the work division of the Party committee members. The meeting decided to formally report the relevant situation and election results of the general election meeting, and the work division of the members of new Party committee and the Commission for Discipline Inspection to the Party committee of the University as soon as possible.
