University-Enterprise Cooperation for Win-Win

On May 14, Li Bo, the deputy dean of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Wang Jiahao, the secretary of Department of Electronic Information Engineering, Song Chaolong, the director of Department of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Its Automation, Li Xingmei, the director of Department of Communication Engineering, Du Yu, the secretary of the Youth League Committee of this School, and Luo Caiwei, the graduation and employment commissioner, paid a visit to Haier Zhongnan Park to have an exchange of view on university-enterprise cooperation.

At the symposium, Song Limin, the director in charge of recruitment in Haier Zhongnan Park, introduced Haier's development history, global layout, park distribution and future development strategy to us. He said that Haier was looking forward to the in-depth exchange with this School in the coming future and made contributions to the talent training process of this School, and hoped to recruit more talents in our college for the enterprise.

The deputy dean Li Bo, first give his heartfelt thanks to Director Song Limin for his introduction to Haier Group, and introduced the discipline structure, faculty members and practice and training schedule of this School to the leaders of Haier Zhongnan Park from the aspects of undergraduate and postgraduate cultivation. He said that Department of Industrial Design and Qingdao Haier Group had established a maker laboratory in this School. Haier proposed to provide Haier's entrepreneurship training camp and excellent engineer program on the basis of strategic agreement to give students a brand-new experience. This School was willing to and required to cooperate deeply with Haier U-Home Zhongnan Park in practice and training base and jointly provide a competition resource platform to the students in combination with the increasing influence of "Internet+" competitions in universities and society. 

Wang Zhiqiang, the director of Wuhan Air-conditioning Interconnection Engineering Manufacturing Department, firstly expressed his sincere thanks to the deputy dean Li Bo for his trust in Haier Group. He said that Haier had always persevered in building a factory with "first-class equipment, standardized quality and diversified models", but in the process of gradual transformation, the problem of uneven quality of talents had gradually been exposed. Therefore, this strategic agreement aimed to provide resources platform support to this School and he hoped that the School could deliver more professional talents for Haier.

Chang Jiang, the person in charge of campus recruitment in Wuhan Haier Zhongnan Park, introduced the detailed contents of university-enterprise cooperation. He explained it from four aspects: project background, entrepreneurship training camp, excellent engineer project and campus contact activities. He said, Haier Entrepreneurship Training Camp was a brand-new talent incubation project proposed by Haier under the relevant policies released by the Ministry of Education to attract, train and retain the talents. Excellent engineer project was a pre-project of campus talents training proposed by Haier on the basis of EDP project. In daily activities, Haier would adopt the mode of campus contacts to make the students know about Haier and then participate in the process of student cultivation.

After the symposium, led by the leaders of Haier Zhongnan Park, both the teachers and the students from this School visited the factories and put forward many valuable suggestions on the follow-up cooperation and development.
