Vice President Liu Jie Attended Exchange Symposium on Party History Learning of Graduate Party Branch of This School

On the afternoon of May 13, the exchange symposium on party history learning was jointly held by Doctoral Party Branch of this School and Postgraduate Party Branch of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was held in Room 308, No. 2 Teaching Building. Liu Jie, a standing committee member of Party Committee & the Vice President of CUG, was invited to attend the symposium and made a speech.

At the symposium, these two Party branches reported the development of Party history learning and education activities respectively. The Doctoral Party Branch introduced the overall situation with the idea of "learning, speaking and doing", and the Postgraduate Party Branch of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering reviewed the glorious course of the Party in the past century by organizing field investigation, field experience and sharing and exchange.

Later, eight representatives of graduate Party members exchanged their learning experience around four aspects: "Party history learning experience", "remembering party history from changes", "poverty alleviation around me" and "obtaining initiative from Party history learning". Zeng Shifeng introduced his hometown’s achievements in poverty alleviation with some pictures; Han Lei reviewed the changes of CUG in the past ten years, exchanged and shared the historical changes in higher education under the leadership of the Party; Ke Jun expressed his determination to serve the country with science and technology based on the development and change of the scientific research platform of CUG. During the exchange and speech, Liu Jie had in-depth exchanges with the Party members on some issues from time to time, and the atmosphere on the site was warm and active.

After listening carefully to everyone's speech, Liu Jie shared his learning experience and raised ardent expectation for the student Party members. He said that the party history learning should be combined with the actual life, and we should be able to understand the today’s hard-won happiness from the great changes in history. He pointed out that in recent years, CUG had changed with each passing day, the infrastructure had been continuously improved, and the education environment had been continuously optimized, the efforts to attract the talents had been constantly intensified. These visible and tangible changes were the epitome of the continuous development of CUG under the leadership of the Party.

Liu Jie wished that the student Party members should take the opportunity of Party history learning and education to learn firm faiths and beliefs, strong theory, lofty moral qualities and correct value orientation, and keep the youthful vitality of the Communists forever. He also wished the student Party member should carry forward the good traditions, inherit the red genes, realize the great power of thought, strengthen the training of Party spirit, practice the unity of knowledge and action, transform the learning achievements into the ambition and responsibility of being a great power, and strive to bloom in the new journey of realizing the Chinese nation's great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream!
