School Leaders Led A Team to Visit China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd

(Reported by Yan Xilin) On May 17-18, Qu Xianghua, the Secretary of the Party Committee, and Wen Guojun, the Deputy Dean of this School, led a team, totally 6 persons, to visit China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd and had a discussion and exchange with the leaders of Zhuo Xingjian, the Vice General Manager of China Railway Equipment Group & an excellent alumni the major of mechanical engineering in this School in Grade 1999 and made an in-depth discussion with regard to scientific research cooperation and talents training.

In the production and experimental workshop of China Railway Equipment Group, they visited and understood the development process, research status and achievement display of tunnel boring machine e and related tunnel construction equipment, observed the pillar of the great power for tunnel construction, felt the enterprise culture of craftsman and model worker spirit of the great power, and realized the importance of Party building in the enterprise leading the enterprise development.

At the symposium, Wen Guojun introduced the basic information about this School from the development history, discipline layout, teaching staff, research directions and other aspects, and focused on the research progress and future direction in related fields. He wished that both parties should carry out in-depth cooperation in talents training, scientific research and other fields so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win between the University and the enterprise.

Zhuo Xingjian introduced the development history of China Railway Equipment Group in terms of historical evolution, development and technical innovation, with emphasis on the company's future industrial development layout and the existing technical breakthrough. He hoped to continue to carry out in-depth cooperation with both teachers and students of his Alma Mater, and climb new heights of research and development of tunnel boring machine.

Qu Xianghua highly appreciated the scientific research achievements and corporate culture construction of China Railway Equipment Group, and looked forward to the next cooperation and exchanges between both parties. He hoped that both parties could strengthen the contact with each other and jointly promote the long-term development of scientific research and education. He pointed out that through cooperation, the scientific research achievements of colleges and universities could be well applied to production practice to jointly overcome cutting-edge technical problems. He also hoped to feed back the research and development achievements of the pillar of the great power and the spirit and corporate culture into the talent training of the School, help both teachers and students build up the self-confidence in the industry, and guide the students to devote themselves to heavy machinery, carry forward the craftsman spirit and contribute their youth.
