Our School and Hubei Institute of Geological Prospecting Equipment Jointly Build the Industry-university-research Base

At 2:00 p.m. on December 21, 2020, Ren Kangjin, Secretary of the Party committee of Hubei Institute of Geological Prospecting Equipment, together with Wu Zhuan, deputy director of the Institute, office director Yang Mei, and Li xiaobiao, chairman of Wuhan Exploring Machinery Factory, came to our School to communicate and hold a signing ceremony on the joint construction of laboratories and the implementation of industry-university-research base. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party committee of our School, Song Chaolong, director of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Han Guangchao, Secretary of the Party branch of the mechanical engineering department, Mei Shuang, deputy director of the mechanical engineering department, Zhao Quan, director of the experimental center, office director Li Changping, and teachers of the mechanical department, such as Wu Laijie, Cheng Siyi and He Xin, took part in the discussion and exhcange. Professor Wen Guojun delivered a welcome speech and introduced the matters on joint construction of laboratories. Dean Wen said that the early cooperation had set a foundation, and our future cooperation and communication would be more smooth. We would sort out the achievements of our teachers, integrate and upgrade the geological prospecting equipment, so as to reach a consensus as soon as possible and gradually promote our cooperation.

On behalf of the School, Secretary Qu Xianghua expressed his gratitude and pointed out that Hubei Institute of Geological Prospecting Equipment had a long history in personnel training, scientific research and joint tackling. He expressed his high recognition and deep expectation for the cooperation between the two sides, and hoped that through the development of instrument and equipment and joint construction of laboratories, both sides would progress together, give full play to the common advantages of the Institute and CUG, to promote the development of the integration of science and education and the integration of production and education.

Ren Kangjin, Secretary of Hubei Institute of Geological Prospecting Equipment, highly recognized the early cooperation with our School. He hoped that the cooperation could be further sublimated to the overall and all-round depth industry-university-research cooperation, product research and development, and achievement transformation in research and production of mechanical and electrical, control, manufacturing equipment, and geological special products. He also expected the School to recommend excellent graduates to the Institute, and welcomed our teachers to visit the Institute.

   Wu Zhuan, Deputy director of the Institute, briefly introduced the scientific and technological development status of the Institute, as well as the current cooperation fields with us, including traditional mineral classification and optimization, collaborative promotion of the technology processing of 3D printing industry, joint development and industrialization of geological environment monitoring instruments, etc. He hoped that the School would realize the industrialization of excellent scientific research achievements in enterprises, and Institute would provide instrument, equipment and field to assist in the separation and optimization of traditional minerals and the green upgrading of complete set of equipment.

According to the cooperation fields given by director Wu Zhuan, Dean Wen analyzed the scientific research situation of our School and said that we were fully capable of long-term and orderly win-win cooperation and hoped to open a new starting point in 2021.
