An Academic Report Delivered by Dr. Cai Baoguo

In order to activate the academic atmosphere, encourage theoretical research and academic innovation, and promote the construction and development of information and communication engineering discipline, an academic report entitled “Data link and its application and development” was delivered by Dr. Cai Baoguo, senior engineer of the 722^nd Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, on November 24. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Hao Guocheng and all teachers and postgraduates attended the meeting.

Cai Baoguo, graduated from communication engineering major of the School of Information Engineering of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a bachelor's degree in engineering in 2002, is an excellent alumni of our School. His main research direction is wireless communication system and data communication, and the research focuses on the technical system of data link system and its related networking technology at home and abroad, and also involves in wireless ad hoc network and its simulation. He has won one provincial and ministerial award and published more than 20 academic papers, national defense patents and national defense scientific and technical reports.

This report is composed of three parts. The first part introduces the characteristics and functions of data link and describes the interpretation, expression method, system composition, classification and main functions of data link starting from the definition of data link. The second part introduces the development system and application of data link in detail. The third part discusses the development ideas of data link.

The report delivered by Dr. Cai Boaguo provided rich theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and he answered the questions raised by teachers.
