Cubic Sensor and Instrument Co., Ltd Visited Our College

At the invitation of Secretary Qu Xianghua and Deputy Dean Huang Tianye, Xiong Youhui, Chairman of Cubic Sensor and Instrument Co., Ltd and his party came to the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information at 9:00 a.m. on November 5, to meet with the leaders and teachers of our College and to conduct in-depth exchanges on the cooperation between the University and the enterprise. Cubic Sensor and Instrument Co., Ltd was founded in “Optical Valley, Wuhan” in 2003, covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters, is a high-tech enterprise engaged in the R & D, production and sales of gas sensors and gas analysis instruments.

The meeting was presided over by Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School. Representatives of teachers from various departments first introduced the research fields and progress of the team. Professor Huang Tianye introduced the application of special optical fiber technology in gas sensor, fiber laser and optical fiber communication system; Hao Guocheng introduced the development of geological disaster monitoring and oil and gas resources exploration related instruments; Fu Xiancheng introduced the development of embedded display products; and Chen Xiaoli introduced typical cases of product structure and appearance design. Then, Chairman Xiong Youhui introduced the existing and upcoming projects of Cubic Sensor and Instrument in combination with the research direction reported by the teachers, hoping to further develop the industry-university-research cooperation in the field of gas sensors and gas analyzers.

Finally, on behalf of the School, Secretary Qu Xianghua expressed his gratitude to Cubic Sensor and Instrument, especially Xiong Youhui, for their support to our School. He said that he would earnestly promote the cooperation between our School and the company, integrate the scientific research team of the School, and promote the teachers and students to participate in the practical projects of Cubic Sensor and Instrument according to the actual needs of the enterprise. University-enterprise cooperation would be of great help to broaden students' horizons and improve their scientific research and practical ability. 

At the meeting, the leaders of the School and Cubic Sensor and Instrument discussed and reached a consensus on project cooperation, which promoted the deepening of the friendly cooperation between the two sides, and also pointed out the direction for the further development of the scientific research work of the School and enterprises.
