Laboratory Safety Inspection in Our School

At 3:00 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2020, Professor Wen Guojun, vice dean of in charge of the laboratories, led the heads of the experimental center and laboratories and members of the safety inspection team to conduct a safety inspection on the laboratories located in No. 2 teaching building, the engineering experimental building and the information building.

According to usual practice, the inspection team focused on whether the laboratory rules and regulations were sound, whether the laboratory environment was improved, whether the dangerous goods were effectively managed, whether the laboratory safety education and safety responsibility were clearly assigned to people, and whether the laboratory electricity and water were safe. Furthermore, the inspection team also put forward specific rectification suggestions on the problems of laboratory equipment placement and office cleaning, and the specific rectification measures and schemes have been assigned to the responsible person.

The inspection team also conducted a comprehensive inspection of the graduate studio, and put forward specific requirements for all graduate students, such as forbidding the carrying of drinks and food into the room, and putting an end to the use of illegal electrical appliances.

The laboratory safety is related to every teacher and student. The staff and students who enter the laboratory must improve their safety awareness, do laboratory safety work carefully, strengthen the daily management of the laboratory, and strictly standardize the operation of laboratory personnel.
