Hao Guocheng and Zhang Xiangli, two teachers from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, CUG, won the third prize in South China Division in the Preliminary Contest of the 4th National College Electronic Information Teaching Competition.

The competition is a national teaching competition for electronic information majors sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Electronics under the guidance of the National Center for Schooling Development Programme. The competition aims to promote classroom teaching, create “golden courses” of electronic information, and implement the guiding spirit of “taking undergraduate education as the foundation”. It has been successfully held for three times. As a teaching competition for electronic information specialty, the competition regulations require that the courses must be core courses of electronic information specialty. This competition strengthens the assessment of teaching design, five core knowledge points should be prepared for the participating courses. As the most influential competition for electronic information courses in China, a large number of schools participate in this competition, including many well-known local and military electronic information colleges and universities, so it is very difficult to win awards.

Since the announcement of competition issued by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information has actively guided outstanding young teachers with excellent communication and telecommunication professional skills to enter for the competition. The two participating teachers have made great efforts to overcome various difficulties during the epidemic period, prepared carefully and actively for the competition, and finally won prizes. This shows that our school has been improving the teaching level of this course in recent years, and also shows that our school has ranked among the best in the construction of electronic information professional courses.
