【News】Leaders of the School Visit the Returned Students

(Reporter: Gu Jiarong, Du Yu) After the longest winter and summer holidays, the back-to-school season finally came. According to the arrangement of CUG for the autumn semester, the students of our School returned to school in batches and regions from Sept. 2 to 5. The School attached great importance to and made careful preparations to create a safe and orderly atmosphere for students to return to school smoothly.

In order to deeply understand the students’ thought, learning and living conditions after returning to school and remind them to do a good job in scientific prevention and control, recently, Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the Party committee of the School, Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee, Luo Jie, deputy dean, and Hao Guocheng, chairman of the trade union, led a team respectively to visit and comfort the returned students. Graduate supervisors, undergraduate class teachers and all counselors participated in the visit.

Qu Xianghua led a team to visit the returned students living in the dormitory of the western campus. He was concerned about their study at home, and understood back-to-school process and the safety measures for epidemic prevention in dormitories. He urged the students not to gather or visit, to improve the awareness of epidemic prevention and control, and to adjust their status as soon as possible and put them into normal study and life.

Yu Xiaozhou led a team to visit the returned students living in the dormitory of the north campus. She asked them about their feelings to understand their psychological conditions, and checked the ventilation and disinfection of the dormitory. She stressed that students should make preparations for personal protection and arrange time reasonably, to provide guarantee for high-quality learning efficiency.

Luo Jie and Hao Guocheng led a team to the laboratories to express sympathy to the returned graduate students. The were concerned about their scientific research situation, patiently asked the students about their difficulties in learning and research after return, and gave guidance and suggestions one by one. Luo Jie hoped that all graduate students would be able to concentrate on scientific research and innovation on the basis of protection, and strive for better research results.

The students had in-depth communication with the teachers, expressed their thanks to the teachers for their hard work, and were glad to return to the normal study life on campus. The students said that they would adjust their status as soon as possible, and devote themselves to learning with full enthusiasm and constantly improve their comprehensive ability on the basis of well personal protection.
