Special for Welcoming New Students | President Wang Yanxin Came to Our School to Inspect and Guide the Freshmen Registration Work

At about 11:00 a.m. on September 13, Wang Yanxin, CAS member and President of CUG, came to No. 2 Teaching Building to inspect and guide the freshmen registration work.

Wang Yanxin first learned about the freshmen registration process, and asked about the basic situation of the new students of our School in detail. When he saw that the School collected the “Questionnaire on Student’ Family” at the first time at the orientation point, he expressed his affirmation and hoped that the teachers could understand the family backgrounds of the freshmen in time and obtain the students’ trust with sincere devotion.

After that, Wang Yanxin checked the gift for the freshmen in our Shool. When he saw that there were golden steel ruler with the university gate and the key chain with the school badge and logo in the gift bag, he praised it and pointed out that these gifts reflected the culture of CUG and the characteristics of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information and were also very educational. When he learned that the School had put the national flag and school flag on the seat of each freshman in the dormitory, he deeply agreed with it. He stressed that the feelings of home and country should be integrated into the freshmen registration work, so as to enhance the connotation of education.

After leaving the orientation assembly line, Wang Yanxin came to the “online tuition payment service point” specially set up by our School. The staff reported the reasons for setting the service point and the online payment operation process, and he was very happy and praised the School for solving problems and providing considerate services for freshmen.

In the process of inspection and guidance, President Wang Yanxin praised every student backbone who participated in the volunteer service. He hoped that they would continue to maintain the meticulous and rigorous style work in the future study, and set a good example for the 2020 freshmen.
