The Leaders of Our School and Nanzhang County Promoted the Cooperation through Negotiation

From 10:00 am to 12:00 am on July 11, 2020, Yang Hanjun, Director of Talent Office of the Organization Department of Nanzhang County Party Committee, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, with a group of 11 persons, including Shang Yougen (Deputy Director of the Economy and Technology Promotion Bureau of the County), Shi Yonghong, (Director of the Association for Science and Technology), Wang Bo (Deputy Director of the Human resources and Social Security Bureau), Wang Ping (Chief of the Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization Unit), general manager Dai of Hengda Machinery Manufacturing Corporation, general manager Zheng of Minter Group and general manager Jing of LOMON corporation, negotiated with the leaders and teachers of our School on such matters as the docking of university-enterprise cooperation projects and the renewal of the agreement on academician and expert workstation. Ding Huafeng, Dean of the School, Prof. Qu Xianghua, Secretary of the School Party Committee, Prof. Wen Guojun, Deputy Dean of the School, and associate professor Wang Yuanshen, participated in the discussion.

Director Yang Hanjun introduced the purpose of this visit: promoting the technical docking between the enterprises of Nanzhang County and the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, and to renewing the expert workstation agreement with Hengda Company. Director Shang Yougen introduced the current situation of science and technology enterprises in Nanzhang County, and the basic information of science and technology investment promotion website; on behalf of the Science and Technology Association, Director Shi made a statement on the renewal of the academician expert workstation; Wang, Director of Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, put forward expectations for the establishment of post doctoral innovation practice base and post doctoral scientific research workstation, as well as the best cooperation mode for talents cultivation between colleges and enterprises; Director Wang of the County Intellectual Property Office reported on the intellectual property and patent demand of Hengda Company and stated that the problems in water conservancy and mining industry should be solved, finally, he expressed the government’s strong support policy and the urgent desire for the patent to be settled in Nanzhang.

Qu Xianghua, Secretary of our School, expressed that he supported the teachers to make use of the patents and technologies to go deep into local enterprises, so that the specialties of engineering colleges and departments would be closely connected with enterprises. He put forward suggestions on how to serve local economy by discipline construction, and planned to organize a group to visit the enterprises in Nanzhang County during summer vacation. Deputy Dean Wen Guojun put forward some suggestions on the hardware conditions of postdoctoral research workstation.

Upon mutual consultation, Dean Ding Huafeng agreed to renew the agreement on expert workstation. Director Yang Hanjun welcomed Secretary Qu Xianghua to lead a team to visit the enterprises in Nanzhang County during summer vacation, so as to further promote school-enterprise cooperation and to promote the discipline construction in serving local economy.
