The School Leaders Visited the Returned Students

(Correspondent: Liu Biao) In midsummer, the lotus pond in front of No.2 Teaching Building has become green, and the budding lotus is looking forward to the return of the students. From June 15 to 16, the first batch of returned students of our School successfully returned the university.

In order to have a better understanding of the thoughts, scientific research and life trends of returned students, and remind them to do well in the epidemic prevention and control in a scientific and standardized way, on the afternoon of June 18, Qu Xianghua, Party Secretary of the School, Ding Huafeng, Dean of the School, Yu Xiaozhou, deputy Party secretary of the School, Li Bo, Deputy Dean of the School, Huang Tianye, Deputy Dean of the School, and counselors visited the students’ dormitories and laboratories, and extended cordial greetings and deep care to the returned students.

Qu Xianghua led a team to visit the returned students in Xinfeng Apartment, asked them about the detailed process of returning to university, checked the safety measures for epidemic prevention in the dormitory, and told them to follow the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the university and face life and study with a positive attitude.

Ding Huafeng and Li Bo led a team to visit the laboratory to learn about the study and scientific research conditions of the returned students, and inquired about their difficulties and demands carefully. They hoped that the students would carry forward the spirit of the univesity motto and strive to overcome the existing difficulties, and reminded them to take good safety protection measures at the time of doing scientific research.

Yu Xiaozhou and Huang Tianye led a team to visit the students living in No. 8 Dormitory for postgraduates in the East Campus to learn more about the living conditions of the students after returning, carefully checked the sanitation, disinfection and ventilation of the dormitories, and hoped that everyone could reasonably arrange the time, strengthen exercise and develop good living habits

The students are very excited to return to school after more than five months. Xu Ziheng, 2018 postgraduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering, wrote a poem to express his excitement:

Not for a long time, but as if a lifetime had passed.

Dressed in the sunset, when the university gate once again came into my eyes, my heart was filled with emotion:

CUG, Wuhan, I’m back!

The students were grateful to the kind care of the leaders and said that they would cherish their campus life and ensured that they would carry out the scientific research and epidemic prevention and control strictly in accordance with the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the School and University.

According to information, as of June 18, a total of 76 students of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information have returned to the university according to the specified process.
